About Raghupur Fort

Raghupur Fort is a historic hilltop fort located near Jibhi in the serene Tirthan Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Perched at an altitude of around 10,800 feet, the fort is believed to have been built by the rulers of Kullu to keep a watch on the surrounding valleys and trade routes. Though now mostly in ruins, its old stone walls still echo stories of the region’s past.

The trek to Raghupur Fort is one of its biggest highlights. Starting from Jalori Pass, the trail is about 3 kilometers long and takes you through dense oak and pine forests, open meadows, and scenic mountain landscapes. The moderate trek makes it suitable for beginners as well as experienced hikers.

From the top, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Great Himalayan ranges, including the Dhauladhar peaks on clear days. The peaceful atmosphere, cool mountain breeze, and untouched beauty make it an ideal spot for nature lovers, photographers, and camping enthusiasts.

Raghupur Fort is perfect for those seeking solitude, adventure, and panoramic Himalayan views away from crowded tourist spots.
