About Parque de Serralves
Once you enter the park you can see the garden around a 500-meter central axis and it is said to project the direction of the Douro river. It further extends to lawns, flower beds, and sloping waterfalls. Once you reach the end of the garden, you can also find a stairway that leads down to a small lake that is called a "Romantic lake".
Some of the most beautiful elements in the park are the lily pond, rose gardens, and beautiful fountains. The park also plays an important part in promoting cultural and environmental quality in the city and hosts many programs throughout the year.
