Käfigturm is located 1.4 kilometres from the Bern city centre. 

  • By Bus: The nearest bus stop is Zytglogge which is well connected to various lines running through the city centre. Buses such as the Number 12, 10, and 7 stop here. From the city centre, take any bus that stops at Zytglogge. The journey takes under 10 minutes, followed by a short walk to Käfigturm.
  • By Car: Driving from the city centre to Käfigturm takes about 5 minutes. It covers a short stretch of 1.4 kilometres. The most straightforward route is via Amthausgasse. Upon reaching, consider using the Kursaal parking area. From here, Käfigturm is 850 metres or 2 minutes away.
  • By Bike: Cycling is another quick and efficient way to reach Käfigturm from the city centre. Bern is well-equipped with bike lanes, and the route to Käfigturm is no exception. It approximately takes about 5 minutes to bike the 1.4-kilometre distance. You can rent bikes from numerous stations around the city.
  • By Tram: Trams are also a convenient option to reach Käfigturm. The Number 9 tram from the main station (Bern Bahnhof) heading towards Wabern, which stops at Zytglogge, is one option. The tram ride to Zytglogge takes about 3-4 minutes.
  • On Foot: Walking is a pleasant and straightforward option, as Käfigturm is only about 950 metres from the Bern city centre. The most straightforward route by walking is via Kornhausbrücke and Marktgasse. The walk takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes, passing through the picturesque streets of the Old Town.
