Ishtakameshwari Devi Temple Overview
A temple belonging to the ancient times of the 8 or 9th century, about 21 kms away from Srisailam. Tourists usually trek about 7 - 8 km into the Nallamala forest to arrive at the temple. Known for its pleasant and smiling face of the Goddess, it is believed to be a very auspicious temple. Many devotees include this temple in their Srisailam visiting places list to double check their wish list to the Gods. 

The trip turns exciting if you pay a visit to this temple as you might encounter animals in the wild as you walk across the forest area. The best time to visit is during the early time of day when you have enough light to get to the temple and head back safely.
