One day while randomly surfing the net I came across this trek and without thinking much booked it. It was my first trek and I am so glad that I chose this one. Shahid, Habeeb and Danny are the most motivating and friendly organizers' anyone can ever meet. The entire trip was perfectly organized and there was never a dull moment. Though I was travelling solo, I never felt it, thanks to the other wonderful people in the group and the organizers. You guys rock. Looking forward to the next one really soon.

This was my first real trek and it ended up being such an amazing experience. Shahid, Habib and Danny were all amazing. I would recommend them to anyone without any second thoughts. They made sure to call everyone to explain the list of things required for the trek so that everyone can have an amazing time....even down to the fact that you need long socks to tuck your trousers in. Trust me it comes in very handy to keep the leeches out ;) They don't just take you for the trek, they also share the tactics to excel at trekking so that you can use them even for the next time. Even at the homestay, they made sure we had a good time. I know some of the reviews might talk about mosquitoes and stuff....we didn't face any issue. Even if it was, it's already shared in the instructions to take a mosquito repellant with you...it comes in handy with leeches too during the trek. These things are expected when you visit exotic locations :) And even in the bus (during the journey), they make sure you have as much fun as possible. At the same time, they're very considerate. Even if one person says no to playing music in the bus, they won't. Overall, one heck of an experience and I'd recommend to everyone. In fact, they're now my go-to source for any info when it comes to adventures.

We were around 15 people who went together all family friends and it was fun and an awesome experience for all of us. We just wish we could have been here for a longer time to experience the great weather and brilliant activities a bit more.

We 4 friends along with 7 other people from different corners of the country got together for this amazing journey called Hampta Trek. There were just too many splendid moments during the trek. Still, I would like to put down a few. 1. We were supposed to report to the starting point on 15th July at 8th. All the guys reported on time but a group of 3 got late as their bus broke down. One of the 2 Trek leaders waited for their arrival and ensured they join rest of the team at the first camping site (We had to start without them). 2. The 2 trek leaders were amazing with good knowledge of the area. They were neither too soft nor too harsh with the members. One used to be with faster guys and another was supporting the team from behind for those who were slow. 3. The 4-member team (2 - TLs, 2- Cooks) managed to bake a cake for my birthday in the middle of nowhere and made sure I enjoy it thoroughly. It was a very thoughtful celebration and was too overwhelming for me. The trek is properly designed for the moderate difficulty. The difficulty level gradually increases giving the proper time for everyone to acclimatize. A perfect choice for the beginners. In the end, I would like to thank Rahul, Rakesh and Thrillophillia for making it possible with such convenience. Looking forward to a few more in coming months. Cheers!

I would like to thank Deepa and Kiran for all the care taken to us during our stay. We were a group of 3 couples with kids who went for enjoying our weekend at this homestay, I must say this is an awe place. Great food, the beautiful location, pleasant weather and friends who are no less than a family... There wouldn't be anything great than experiencing all this together! All of us had a really awesome time. It was a wonderful stay ever. All seen and read from all other reviews, there is no doubt that Deepa is the best cook. Anyone would fall in love with her cooking. A must try for all the foodies out there. The price paid is definitely worth it. All I recommend others who are looking for a homestay at Chikmagalur, please go ahead and grab this stay because you would not find anything greater than this. Once again thank you so much Deepa for all the great food we got to have !! :) Cheers!! Keep going !! :):)

Great service and completely furnished rooms are the peculiarities of this coffee plantation stay in Chikmagalur. Thrillophilia advised me to take this package and I find it worth spending money and time. So much fun moments were created with my friends here.

We had booked the stay for the weekend and had a wonderful time. The hosts were wonderful. The food was excellent. The hosts also gave us the contact a local tour guide who was also good. Overall wonderful experience ! :)

We had a wonderful stay at chikmagalur with great food and amazing hosts. The hosts, Kiran and Deepa went out of their way to ensure we were always comfortable. For a relaxing weekend, I highly recommend this retreat.

This is one of the best experience we had in homestays. The host, kiran and deepa are so nice and friendly and they treated us like an extended family and ensured we are very comfortable throuhout the stay. The place is so serene and we can relax, unwind and get energized with abundance of nature around us. The food is so tasty as well. Overall excellent experience

We had a wonderful stay with Deepa and Kiran in their homestay. The house itself is very sweet and in a gorgeous, tranquil setting on 15 acres of working coffee and black pepper plantation. When we visited in March, the coffee plants were just flowering so the fragrance was so beautiful. Kiran took our two kids (10 & 12) for a tour through the plantation, which his grandfather planted. He showed us reach of the different types of plants and how the whole process works from tree to mug. The best part of the stay though (sorry Kiran!) was Deepa's cooking. She was an incredible host, making sure we were well fed with her delicious chutneys, curries, dosa's and fresh passion fruit juice. It was all so good. That alone was worth the trip! Thank you for the great stay! Please Note: our family travels a lot and gets a lot of value from reading reviews before visiting a place, so in the interest of giving back to the community, we are cross-posting this review on Google as well.

If you want to spend a quiet time amidst a beautiful and very well maintained Coffee/Pepper Plantation, Deepa and Kiran's estate is one of the more ideal places to visit. They are so warm and patient, Deepa Takes care of the gastronomes urges beyond your expectations, Kiran gives you an informative tour of the plantation he is taking care of and Lykaa ( their pet ) keeps you company and helps you move around the estate safely without letting anything happen to the guests. The experience was very pleasant and worth every penny, definitely place to visit for a quiet and serene weekend.

We came all the way from Kolkata after attending my daughter’s convocation at the Christ University, Bengaluru. We stopped over for 2 nights at Belur via Shravanabelagola to see very good and historical temples of Belur and Halebidu. This Coffee Plantation Home Stay is situated at lovely hills of Mudigere – about 5 km from Mudigere town. We felt here as if we came to our another home mainly because of very very personal touch of Deepa. Kiran is also very helpful and nice gentleman. We went to many places (some far away) like Mulyangiri, Baba Budan Giri, Sringeri Mutt, Kannada Poet Kuvempu’s museum cum his ancestral house at Kuppalli. We went to Horanade to see Mata Annapoorneswari temple, very old Kala Bhairaveswar Swamy Temple at Devaramane near Mudigere. Even their pet dog Lyka is so cute and affectionate and well behaved/ trained. The food cooked by Deepa is very good and tasty and homely. My family members became so friendly and dependent on Deepa, and Deepa was everywhere and was always trying to do the best for us. We felt really emotional while leaving the Home Stay. I wish all the best to Deepa and Kiran. And God is Always there with them.

Recently I with my bunch of friends took this trek and I should say we were lucky that we chose this to be our first trek and also the team of Thrillophilia as our trekking partners. As said its really an adventure escape and an experience you will cherish for a lifetime. As fascinating the place was, to add it our trainers were exceptionally good. Kudos to their patience for motivating us to complete this difficult yet amazing trek. So, if you are the first timer and think yourself not fit for such an adventure, please chuck all those worries and go for it because you have an amazing team who actually help u during this time and enjoy with you like a friend. Highly recommended adventure to all.
