Well! If you've never trekked before, you should start with Triund trek. I recently did this trek. It was amazing. It was my first trek. I won't say it is an east trek but doable with a bit efforts. I would suggest to go to Snow line, 3 Kms ahead of Triund. Stay there. That's what I did. We stopped at Triund for half an hour and then went up to Snowline. It is less crowded than Triund and you can see the sunrise which is mesmerizing and hell of a experience. Triund with Snowline is 2 day trek and worth doing. The photos you see are taken by me only.

Our tour started with a sightseeing expedition in Guwahati itself. Visited Umananda and Kamakhya temple, also saw the magnificent Brahmaputra river. Be prepared to bear a crazy rush in the temples, especially when you are visiting in season. Then we headed for Shillong and took a halt at the Umiam lake viewpoint, was a decent man-made lake. We clicked some pictures and started our journey again. Stayed in Shillong for day one. Nice hotel, good facilities. Next morning, we traverse across the town visiting a few parks, museums, markets and churches. The third day was really exciting, the twisty and vegetation laden hilly turns took us to Cherrapunji. Amazing location. Enroute, we also spotted Elephant fall and Shillong peak. Went to Nohkalikai falls on the same day along with Mawsmai caves and Krem falls. The hotel we stayed in had a wonderful view of the valley. Next day we started for the famous Mawlynnong and Dawki villages, was completely mind blown to be in these locations. It was worth every penny I spent on this tour.

No words to describe my time in the Northeast. Cherrapunji is love, no matter whenever you visit this place, it always looks green and prospering. The villages Dawki and Mawlynnong were my personal favourite on this trip. Keep extra clothes for the adventure you will be getting in near many waterfalls, and rivers of Shillong and Meghalaya. My mother loved visiting the Kamakhya temple for the first time and being a Bengali, she was so impressed by the temple and the story associated with the making of this temple

Nohkalikai fall was hidden by clouds so even after spending almost an hour at the spot, we couldn’t see it properly. The other waterfalls on this tour like Elephant fall and Krem fall are to die for. The pools at the bottom of these falls are so attractive, blue and clear water lures you into throwing yourself into one. We had a great time touring with Sounak who was our driver and also the guide. I would like to rate this adventure full because I am truly satisfied with everything provided on this trip.

The list of places we visited on this tour from the great man-made lake Umiam to the highest fall of the region- Nohkalikai Falls, and Seven Sisters Falls etc were all beautiful and kept us rooted to the sight for quite some time. The romance is in the air in Cherrapunji and Shillong. mawlynnong village is one of the interesting and an impressive place. We loved the entire experience, right from the easy booking process to the well-versed guide and a comprehensive plan. Too good!

The best way to experience nature’s beauty with comfort is with this tour. Surely recommend if you are planning a short honeymoon. In just six days, the tour threw moments which words can’t express. Our guide was so supportive and well-behaved that our slow crawl to the Nohkalikai viewpoint became easy. Cherrapunji is really a pretty place, no wonder it is the wettest place in India. Our tour was brimming with nature.

The way to the double-decker bridge was quite thrilling, we had to trek down over 3500 stairs to reach. The two iron bridges connecting to the other side of the river were really scary but once we reached there, we felt happy, gave a sense of achievement. Thank you Thrillophilia!

The best part that I would like to point to is that along with a private car, you are given ample privacy as a couple and they respect your honeymoon time. The trip had a number of incredible locations like Unmngot river of Dawki, Shillong peak, Nohkalikai peak, and the grand abode of the one-horned rhinos-Kaziranga.

First of all, I would like to say thanks and appreciate the mastermind who created such a detailed itinerary with apt intervals and amazing places. Our guide was super active and we loved his presence. His never-ending enthusiasm of clicking us made us pose everywhere and we now cherish the time looking at the photographs! A boat ride in Dawki and Umiam lake was so romantic. Loved everything!

As we arrived at the Guwahati airport, we were picked up by our guide. The drive to Shillong was of around 3 hours. Enroute we encountered many small waterfalls until we arrived at the Umiam lake viewpoint. This manmade lake is huge and a fantastic location to get yourself clicked. The overnight stay in the hotel in Shillong needs special mention. Our room had an amazing view of the encircling distant mountains. The food we ate throughout the tour was of quality and even the hotels we stayed in were professional, high-end and well-maintained. I would really like to take this opportunity to thank Thrillophilia for making this one memorable and worth writing this review. Also, our guide Ayan who tried his best to keep us happy and informed about all the places we went. The highlights of this tour are Nohkilikai falls, Maswmai cave, seven sisters falls, Umiam Lake, Umngot river in Dawki etc. I was actually backpacking solo at first then my friends got along and we booked this 5 days package. I was very keen on seeing the root bridge and the Mawllynnong village and as expected- I was really stunned. Almost every stop has something different to offer. The highest waterfall in the region- Nohkilikai fall is quite a sight. We actually had to wait for sometime for the clouds to travel ahead and reveal the sight and through this entire time and at many more places where we overstayed clicking selfies and pictures together, our guide Pawan cooperated and never said anything. Infact he enjoyed so much as if it was his first time. Probably because we were a young bunch of traveller and he mostly drove families. Loved every point, every stay and every breakfast served on this tour. If you are reading my review- think no more, just go for it!

The best trip of my life. I was visiting Northeast for the first time so I cleverly took this package. The deal offered by Thrillophilia looked quite appealing to me. Even the arrangements on this tour, right from an airconditioned car to a knowledgeable guide. The places we visited were all beautiful, Dawki, Nohkalikai, Umiam and the village Mwllyonnong. Highly recommend!

Go on a boat ride in Dawki, the river is so clean that the settled riverbed can be seen without magnifying glasses, just your naked eyes are enough. Other locations like Umiam, Nohkalikai and Mwllynnong were amazing too.

Just wow! My usual reaction to most of the places was “wow.” The floating clouds around the Shillong peak would move like white-handkerchiefs, I was really mind-blown at places such as Nohkalikai falls, Umiam lake, and especially when I watched over a hundred species of exotic bird in Kaziranga near the Brahmaputra stream. We even spotted the single-horned rhino and two tigers in the park and couldn’t stop capturing in my camera lenses. No matter how many times you visit Northeast, you just can’t get enough. Thank you Thrillophilia for making our journey so comfortable and perfect.

On my trek through some jungle trail in Kaziranga, I was attacked by leeches but my smart guide took out salt surprisingly from somewhere his pant pockets and saved all of us. He then even explained that we must always keep salt while walking in such jungles. I have no complaints about the entire tour, Thrilliphilia did a great job of sorting amazing places on the list and we really liked each and every destination. We got the detailed plan two weeks prior to our trip and we actually made a request to cut down one day on the tour as we had to return early. The reason why I’m so impressed with Thrillophilia is that they not only managed the changes but also made us travel to the best places, we actually missed nothing. Much love to the team!

Best in the market! I have been to Northeast with two different tour operators and Thrillophilia has become my first choice. Our guide was a very interesting guy on this tour, when we were not visiting places, he would keep us entertained with his endless tales about the region and destinations we were driving to. The journey (car drive) was the best deal of this seven-day long tour. Every turn was so beautiful that you would want to take pictures everywhere.

Jungle safari and swimming in one the natural pools of a waterfall in Cherrapunji was two of my favourite activities on this tour. Definitely, recommend to other people.

The quaint town of Shillong took my heart away. I rushed in the old cathedrals and slanty lanes of this small hill town like a kid. Safari was wonderful along with the other sightseeing places

On our trip we had some really amazing local food. Our guide was so accustomed to the region that we tasted some authentic local dishes such as jadoh, the jhur kleh and Do O Pura. The entire tour was a mix of varied geographical locations which included many waterfalls like seven sister falls, elephant falls, and my favourite Nohkalikai falls, lakes like Umiam, natural caves like Maswmai, the transparent Umngot river in Dawki and the cleanest village of India Mawlynnong village. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

I travelled on this tour during the monsoon season and while some places were oozing with beauty, few places are still left unseen. We couldn’t see Nohkalikai as it was hiding behind clouds. The overall tour was fun, the guide was funny and friendly, the car and hotel were comfortable and we didn’t bother for tickets and entry passes at various landmarks. Was an effortless travel!

I am so impressed by this package that I can not stop but write a review about. I just came back from this tour, Northeast right now, especially Meghalaya is brimming with beautiful falls, and rivers. There is no doubt in giving Thrillophilia the credits for arranging everything so wonderfully.
