Tropical Islands, located just outside Berlin, is Europe’s largest tropical holiday destination and a place for both adventure and relaxation. Inside a massive dome, visitors can enjoy beaches, lagoons, and themed areas that create a holiday atmosphere throughout the year.

The world’s largest indoor rainforest offers walking paths surrounded by tropical plants, giving guests the chance to explore and discover nature up close. Families can enjoy Germany’s largest water slide tower, while younger children have safe play areas and calm pools. The outdoor area, Amazonia, is open all year and features heated pools, rapids, and wave rides.

Know Before You Go for Tropical Island Tickets

  • Tropical Islands is open for day guests from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
  • The sauna and spa area is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:45 PM.
  • The Amazonia outdoor area has seasonal hours, 24 May – 17 August 2025: 10:00 AM to 5:45 PM, 18 August – 30 September 2025: 10:00 AM to 7:45 PM and 01 October – 31 December 2025: 10:00 AM to 5:45 PM.
  • Children’s Tropino Club courses run in summer only. Registration is open until 1:00 PM, with courses from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Proper swimwear is required in all pools and water areas. Street clothing and shoes are not permitted in the water.
  • In the sauna cabins, a no-clothing policy applies. Swimwear is not allowed, and guests must sit or lie on a towel for hygiene reasons.
  • Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except for baby food and meals required for special diets.
  • The dome maintains an indoor temperature of around 26°C (78°F), so summer clothing and light footwear are recommended.
  • Facilities include 11 restrooms (five are wheelchair accessible), baby changing tables, showers, family bathrooms, a laundromat, a first aid station, and smoking rooms.
  • A free shuttle bus connects Brand train station, the resort, and nearby facilities. It has a fold-out ramp for wheelchairs and strollers.
  • Tropical Islands provides accessible entrances, elevators, parking, and shuttle service. Assistance dogs are allowed under specific rules.
  • In the sauna and spa restaurants, only light clothing, towels, or bathrobes may be worn.
  • Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
  • Pets are not allowed inside the dome. Assistance dogs are welcome but must be clearly identified and supervised and are not permitted in pool areas.
  • Guests must avoid running, diving, or any unsafe behaviour in pools and slides.
  • Photography is allowed but should be done with respect for the privacy of other guests.
  • Guests are required to follow the instructions of staff and comply with safety guidelines at all times.
  • Lost items can be reported and searched through the Faundit online system.
  • Images are for representational purposes. The actual experience may differ.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of arrival. All foreign nationals must share their passport details at the time of arrival.
