If you wanna go for this one, do your homework properly. A pretty long one and also the temperature might be serious at times. Most importantly, you must have prior trekking experience. the team was great. they took care of us so well!! it was really a worth the trek. i wll suggest if you have a prior experience then go for the trek you will just have a better time

Overview

About the Destinations: From among the most popular treks across the world, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an experience of a lifetime. Beginning with a quiet and cozy village at the foot of the Modi Khola Valley, this trek has landscapes and trails that are beyond compare. Be sure to experience nature in her various forms as you make your way up to the top of the world.

During the course of Annapurna Base Camp trek, you will experience breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks. Watch the skies and silver mountains transition into a beautiful golden as the sun rises over deep valleys. Walk through dense rhododendron forests, cross charming streams and make your way across a suspension bridge while you travel to the top of the world and back. This trek is sure leave an imprint in your mind, strong enough to last a lifetime.

Altitude: 4100m

Temperature Range: Temperatures largely vary based on season. Winters see temperatures in the range of -10 to -30 degrees Celsius, while summers and monsoons see warmer temperature in the range of 7 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Total Trekking Distance: 16 kms



Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Kathmandu

    Arrival at Kathmandu.

    Today, you will embark on a journey to Annapurna Base Camp Trek that is exciting, challenging and adventurous! Arrive in Kathmandu, where you will be received at the airport. Get acquainted with your guide, who you will meet later in the day. There will be a small briefing on essentials relating to the trek you are about to set off on.

  • Day 2 - Kathmandu

    Preparation

    Prepare with all that you need to begin your adventure today. There will be a check on essentials that must be carried during this long trek. Get in place your trekking gear and other equipment and be ready to set off early next morning.

  • Day 3 - Kathmandu - Pokhara (Drive/202 kms) (7 hours)

    Drive to Pokhara, Drive to Birethanti.

    Arise early today as we will leave for Pokhara in a tourist bus. The 7 hour journey will take you to the second largest city in Nepal. Later during the day, you will board a private van that will drive you to Birethanti, the start point of your Annapurna Base Camp trekking. At a height of 1025m, Birethanti is a small village, rather remote and secluded. Get a feel of life in a village as you spend the rest of your day here.

  • Day 4 - Birethanti – Ulleri (1960m) (Trek/5 hrs)

    Burundi Khola, lunch, trek to Ulleri

    Today is the first day you will venture out trekking. Your day will begin early at 6a.m. Post breakfast, ascend your way up from Birethanti, along the Burundi Khola river. Take a break for lunch that has been arranged for in a town en route. Resume your trek thereafter to reach Ulleri, a warm town at a height of 1960m. Your trek today will be approximately for 5 hours. You have the rest of the day to simply relax or to explore Ulleri.

  • Day 5 - Ulleri – Ghorepani (2860m) (Trek/4 hrs)

    Landscapes, Picturesque Village

    Our day begins at 7a.m today. After a sumptuous breakfast at Ulleri, we will begin our onward trek to Ghorepani. You will see landscapes that have inspired many an artist, as you make your way up. After a halt for lunch at a village close by, you will make your way up to Ghorepani that is at a height of 2860m. A perfect spot for taking some pictures, this picturesque village is welcoming and comfortable.

  • Day 6 - Ghorepani – Poonhill (33210m) (Hike/ 1 hr)

    Sunrise view, Mt Dahulagiri, Mt Annapurna, Mt Manaslu, Snow-clad Peaks

    Today, be prepared to sink in sights that you have only imagined so far. Wake up early and hike to Poonhill that is an hour away from Ghorepani. You will be able to see an ensemble of snow-clad peaks – major ones being Mt Dahulagiri (8176m), Mt Annapurna (8091m) and Mt Manaslu (8156m). Watch the magical transition from dawn to sunrise unfold right before your eyes. See Nature in her purest and most beautiful form and capture these moments to last you a lifetime. After spending around an hour here, you will head back to Ghorepani. Breakfast will be made available after which you will begin your trek to Tadapani. Enjoy the rest of your day in this village today.

  • Day 7 - Tadapani – Chhomrong (2170m) (Hike/1.5 hrs)

    Downhill Trek, Stream Crossing

    Wake up early to a healthy and tasty breakfast. Today, you will trek your way down to Chhomrong. It will be a descent and not too strenuous. After a trek of about an hour and a half, you will come across a charming stream. Feel delighted and gleeful as you cross this stream on your way to Chhomrong. You have the rest of the day to explore this village, its people and lifestyle.

  • Day 8 - Chhomrong – Dovan (2520m) (Hike/5hrs)

    Suspension Bridge, Bamboo and Rhododendron forests, Stone Paved Trails

    Treat your senses to landscapes and sceneries as you set out from Chhomrong. After a descent of approximately 150m, cross over the suspension bridge that is built over the Chhomrong stream. You will then see and walk through a forest of lush green bamboo and rhododendron that is a slightly rocky uphill terrain. After 2 hours of unrivalled green beauty, you will reach Sinwa. After a 5 hour trek alternating between ascending trails through the forest and descending stone paved trails through Bamboo, you will have reached Dovan that is an elevation of 2520m.

  • Day 9 - Dovan – Deurali (3200m) (Hike/3.5 hrs)

    Rocky Trail, Uphill Trek

    Not too far from Dovan, is a village called Deurali. With a population of mere 2500 people, this village is as simple as can get. The trek today involves an uphill walk on rocky terrain amounting to approximately 3 hours. It is recommended that you take your time climbing and drink a lot of water to ensure you enjoy your way up.

    A beginner might fins this trek quite hard, but trust me it is not as what others think. Every trekker must try this at least once. Nice gradients, at time get steeper and fragile, but its all fun and thrill.
