Tajmahal with Mausoleum Entry Ticket Overview

Opening Timings-
- 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM (suggested timings)
- Taj Mahal opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes before sunset during normal operating days.
- Closed on Fridays
About the Monument:

The world-famous monument is located on the banks of the River Yamuna in Agra. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the monument also comprises of Shah Jahan's tomb himself.
The mausoleum was designed on the basis of a symmetrical plan. The beautiful mausoleum is built around an octagonal marble chamber, designed with low-relief carvings & stones (pietra dura). There lies the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan.
