Trip Location: Patna

The Spiritual Buddha Tour will take you through the famous locations that were visited by Buddha after his enlightenment. You will be visiting the cities like Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Sarnath and Kushinagar which were all a part of the journey of Lord Buddha.

- Visit the sacred Bodh Tree, the site where Buddha is believed to have achieved enlightenment.
- After obtaining enlightenment under the ficus tree Buddha embarked on a journey to different cities of North India spreading his message.
- Visit Sarnath where Buddha gave his first sermon and introduced the four noble truths.
- Kesariya is the place which is believed to be the place where Buddha spent most of the last days of his life.
- Kushinagar is the place where Buddha achieved Mahaparinirvana after his death.

About safety and hygiene:
- The retreat has increased the frequency of cleaning public areas (including the lobby, doorknobs, common washrooms, etc.)

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival at Patna

    Arrive at Patna Airport/Railway Station.

    A representative will greet you at Patna Airport/Railway Station and will help with the smooth transfer to the Hotel.

    Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel.

    Later you can go out for local sightseeing to Karuna Stupa And Patna Museum to witness the Holy Cascade of Buddha Relic.

    In the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 2 - Patna – Nalanda – Rajgir – Bodhgaya

    Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast in the morning.

    Check out from the hotel and proceed to Bodhgaya.

    En route, you will see Nepura that will give you a real village tourism experience.

    Get a chance to explore the Ruins of Great Nalanda University.

    Later, stopover at Rajgir to visit the World Peace Pagoda, Griddhakuta Hill, Venuvana(Venu van), and Japanese Temple.

    Reach Bodhgaya later in the evening.

    Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 3 - Bodhgaya Local Sightseeing

    After enjoying a delicious morning breakfast you will embark on a local sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya.

    You will be visiting prominent landmarks including the Dungeshwari Cave, Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Animesh Lochana Chaitya Shrine, and the Vajrasana (also known as Diamond Throne).

    Later you may return back to the hotel to rest for a while.

    You will then again go out to visit other important locations like the famous 80 Ft. Buddha Statue, different Monasteries, Archaeological Museum, And Sujata Garh.

    In the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 4 - Bodhgaya – Sarnath – Varanasi

    After having the morning breakfast check out from the hotel.

    Get driven to Varanasi and check in to the hotel.

    Later in the afternoon go for a tour to Sarnath, located about 13 KM north-east of Varanasi.

    Sarnath holds an important historical significance as this auspicious place was the site where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment.

    Set amidst the well-maintained gardens, the Sarnath’s Ruins are a pleasant place for taking a leisure stroll or for meditation.

    In the evening return back to the hotel.

    Overnight stay at the hotel in Varanasi.

  • Day 5 - Varanasi – Kushinagar

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed towards Kushinagar.

    Kushinagar is a small wooden town where Lord Buddha ended his earthly journey and passed into Mahaparinirvana.

    On arrival at Kushinagar proceed for check-in to the hotel.

    After taking some rest visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple and Mutkabandha Stupa that are believed to be built to preserve the relics of Buddha.

    Later in the evening reach back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 6 - Kushinagar – Vaishali – Patna

    Start your day with a delicious morning breakfast.

    Check out from the hotel and drive back to Patna.

    En route to Patna stopover at Kesariya to visit one of the largest stupas in the world.

    Your next stopover will be at Vaishali to visit the World Peace Pagoda and Buddha Stupa.

    Later you will proceed for the onward journey to Patna.

    Check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 7 - Departure from Patna

    After breakfast check out from the hotel.

    Drive to Patna Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey to your next destination.
