Will I get a refund if I want to cancel my ticket?
The answer to this depends on the duration before the day of visit that you choose to cancel your ticket. If you cancel 30 days before you will get 75% of your booking amount as refund. Between 15 to 30 days of the day of visit, a cancellation will cost you 50% of your booking amount. But if you choose to cancel 15 or less days before the date of visit, you will not get any refund as the cancellation amount will be a 100%.
Are there special prices for senior citizen?
Yes, you can get the ticket for Singapore Flyer at a special discount if you are above 60 years old.
Under what circumstances will Singapore Flyer suspend its flights?
There is only one condition under which the Singapore Flyer will cease operations and new embarkations. This happens only when the wind speed exceeds the limit of 10 meters per second. In such cases, the Flyer will stop taking in new people but will keep on rotating to get the people already on the ride out of there.
Is there a back-up power generator to drive Singapore Flyer? If there is, how long can the supply last?
Yes, there is. As this place was designed, created and is run by internationally trained professionals, it is a given that this place a s power back-up. Their generator for back-up can operate the whole place for about 8 hours.
I have motion sickness and a fear of heights. Is it safe for me to ride Singapore Flyer?
Structurally speaking, the Singapore Flyer is very safe. But if you still harbor doubts, you can always consult a doctor or physician before coming here.
What safety features have been incorporated into each capsule?
The Flyer is not a ferris wheel. It is, rather, an observation wheel, with a really smooth and gradual movement or motion. Also the cabins or the capsules are made in a way that they do not experience any wind resistance or proneness to the environmental conditions outside the capsule. Also, the capsules have a door that come with a spring loaded mechanism for locking them. These special locks can only be opened from the outside, and so the doors always remain closed during operation of the flyer. There are also 2 anchor points in the capsule that can be used in case of emergencies.
What security and safety measures is Singapore Flyer adopting?
Because the attraction was designed and made by internationally famed and trained professionals, so you can be assured that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring the safety of the guests. All the baggage and the passengers are checked and scanned before they are permitted entry to the passengers’ level. Also, the capsules are all fitted with 2 security cameras for surveillance purposes.
I want to book a private capsule. How many days advance booking is required?
For booking a private capsule, you need to get in touch at least 3 working days in advance. Also available is the option of getting the capsule decorated, for which you will have to inform and book at least 5 days in advance. It is better to book with plenty of time in hand, especially if you are booking for a specific date, occasion or time slot.
Can I change my booking date at anytime?
If you inform with plenty of time in hand, say at least 7 days, the slots, dates or times can be changed. But you must remember that such a case is subject to availability of the other slots.
What if I need to use the toilet on board?
The total duration that the flyer takes to complete one full rotation is about 30 minutes. So it will be strongly advised that the guests visit the bathrooms before boarding the Flyer. If you need the information, the washrooms can be conveniently found on the levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Flyer.
Am I allowed to bring food on board Singapore Flyer?
If you have bought food from the outside, it should be kept in mind that you are not allowed to bring the food or consume it while inside the capsules of the Flyer.
If my child is only 3 years old, do I have to buy a ticket for him?
The Flyer’s tickets are free for children who are under the age of 3. Therefore if you are bringing on board a child who is 3 or above, you will have to buy a ticket for them.
