Scuba Diving In Pondicherry Itinerary

Report at the diving centre in Puducherry at 6:00 AM and meet with your scuba diving instructor. (Change of timing will be communicated directly to you prior to that.)
Change into your dive suits and travel to the boat jetty in the vehicle provided by the operator.
Hop on a scenic 45 minutes ride in a boat jetty and enjoy some delicious snacks, fresh fruits and to the diving spot which is around 6 km from the shore.
Learn about the do's & don'ts and get ready to hop on 1 on 1 scuba diving with the assistance of a professional PADI instructor. The time underwater is unlimited on 1 air tank. (on average 30 minutes.)
Spend some time being anchored amidst the sea at the dive site and then move back to the shore which is a 45 minutes dive site.
Reach back to the dive centre and gather for some debriefing, collect your complimentary pictures and end this tour on a happy note.

Know Before You Go for Scuba Diving In Pondicherry

The activity includes nearly 30 minutes of scuba diving and 45 minutes of transfers each side to the shore.
The activity takes place between 6:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
The activity takes place at Eden Beach. The exact location will be shared post booking confirmation.
You will get a certified instructor, life jacket for the boat ride, and scuba gear to do this activity.
Light snacks will be provided during the activity to keep you energised.
If you have taken a flight within 12 hours of scuba diving, you may be at risk of decompression sickness or altitude-related issues, which can affect your health. It is recommended to have a minimum 12-hour gap between diving and flying to reduce the likelihood of these health concerns.
The package cost is inclusive of scuba diving with 1 video and 5 photos.
If you have any cardiac or blood pressure issues, it is advised not to participate in this activity. However, if you choose to proceed and are unable to participate due to these medical conditions, please note that no refund will be issued.
Please note that visitors must manage the commute to the meeting location on their own.
Participants are requested to report at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to their chosen time slot.
The instructor reserves the right to reject any participant deemed unfit to be part of the activity.

#scubadiving has been on my bucket list and this #Pondy trip gave me the opportunity to check that box! We booked it through #thrillophilia The day before the dive we were invited to a pool training session at their office, near Eden beach and it put to rest a lot of our questions and concerns. I reached their office at 6 am and we got going around 7.30 am to get to the boat jetty and took a boat to the dive spot (Temple reef). The ride itself was scenic passing through mangroves and backwaters. The sea was a little rough I felt. The bouncy ride though was very enjoyable! The dive spot is an artificial reef created using trees, palm leaves et al and has a diverse aquatic life. It was fascinating to be in the midst of schools of fishes and floating around with them. We went to 40 feet depth and I was asking them to take me further. My guide told me that I did well and was very calm and the breathing was very good. Some brownie points! 😀 In all, an experience of a lifetime! 🤿🐟🐠🤿✅ Thanks Thrillophilia & Samudra Adventures for making this happen!

The knowledge provided by scuba professionals was so calming and helpful. I started this whole adventure with the belief that I can do it. But the moment I fell into the ocean in a back flip. I forgot what my trainers thought me but my trainer held me instantly and kept me engaging in feeling okay. The adrenaline rush to dive deep felt really good. And when I saw those tiny little fishes, I felt alive. It was a wonderful experience.

This is coming from someone who can't swim. it was my first time seeing the open seas, and got this recommendation from multiple people in Pondicherry. I must say, Samudra Adventures made the impossible look like a cake walk for a non swimmer. Here's a detailed breakdown - The day started early morning, with us reaching the place via our car (the way is straightforward and nice). We were subjected to 2 hours of training, where we're taught how to breathe through the regulator, how to clear our masks, equalise our ears, and all hand signals to be used, in a closed, shallow pool. The only skills required for this are breathing and knowing how to equalise. We then set out to board our boat, where the crew took us via their truck. Upon reaching, it was a 30min boat ride which was scenic in itself, culminating in the middle of the sea, at the dive spot. The divers then check the spot before prepping us, for current as well as visibility. We're prepped up, and then "launched" backward into the sea where each one of us has a diver assigned, who looks after and guides as soon as we hit the sea. The dive starts, periodically descending via a guide rope, and in no time we hit the 12m depth mark, with schools of fish swimming with us. The experience was exhilarating. These folks recorded the entire journey, from training to. certification post the dive, made easily available to access via a cloud drive. I highly recommend this for everyone, regardless of being a swimmer or not.

It was like going into a different world, a world which is just a one step away from you when you are standing on the shore. My instructors were amazing. I visited on 2nd May 2022. I am a non swimmer and was afraid at first to go for scuba diving. But the team Samudra especially Ritwik, Akshay and Pranav made us so comfortable and made the task look so easy. I visited them sharp 06:45 AM and immediately they gave me a form to fill up. After the initial formalities the classroom session started which was taken by Ritwik where he described the over all process , each and every equipment’s involved and how to use them . He also explained about the safety and precautions which we all had to take. He was so clear with his explaining and answering to any of our questions very patiently. After the classroom session now the time was to do the training in the pool. Pranav gave the pool training to us and made us feel so comfortable under the water in the pool. After a short 20 mins training now the time was to get inside the Sea. The spot was 45 mins from the Eden Beach. After reaching there they helped us in gearing up all the kits (the suit, oxygen cylinder, swimming glasses) and then boom . They threw me inside the water which was trill and amazing. After initial hiccups we enjoyed the experience which cannot be described in words. Akshay was there with me inside the sea all the time. He was very professional during the dive. He made me so comfortable which assured me that I am safe and having the bestest ever underwater experience. Simply loved the dive with the very friendly team. A very big Kudos to Ritwik, Akshay and Pranav for their hard work, dedication & professionalism. I strongly recommend to any travellers. Great work guys..!! cheers ..!!
