Day 1
Arrival in Port Blair | Visit to Cellular Jail
Welcome! On arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel & check in. Take some time to relax & later visit the historic Cellular Jail, a colonial-era prison that stands as a reminder of India’s freedom struggle. Walk through its corridors & learn about stories of brave freedom fighters who were once imprisoned here. Also, stay back for the Light & Sound Show, where dramatic effects bring alive the sacrifices & struggles of those who fought for independence. Later, get driven back to the hotel.

For a closer experience, you can also try snorkeling or other exciting water activities (at extra cost). Afterwards, continue to Ross Island. Explore the historic ruins now full of greenery & spot free-roaming deer & peacocks as you stroll around the island. Later, get transferred back to the hotel.

    Today, drive along the Andaman Trunk Road, passing through the dense Jarawa Reserve Forest on the way to Middle Strait Jetty. From the jetty point, take the ferry to Baratang Island. On arrival, take a boat ride through winding mangrove creeks, where arching roots create fascinating natural tunnels over the water. Disembark & follow a short jungle trail to Limestone Caves, where centuries-old formations showcase nature’s artistry. After exploring, you'll be transferred back to the hotel.

Later, get driven Chidiya Tapu Beach, also called the Sunset Point of the Andamans & marvel at its mangrove forests & beautiful coral-fringed coastline.     Know Before You Go for Andaman Family Vacation

    • Plastic use is restricted; travellers should avoid carrying single-use plastic bottles or bags to the islands.
    • Carry a valid government-issued photo ID (passport for international travellers, Aadhaar/Driving License for Indian nationals). Foreign nationals must obtain the required permit from immigration authorities at the airport or harbor on arrival.
    • Expect limited mobile connectivity outside Port Blair and Havelock. Only BSNL, Airtel, and Jio networks work with patchy coverage. Internet is slow across the islands; don’t rely on high-speed connectivity.
    • ATMs are available in Port Blair and Havelock but may not always work; keep extra cash handy.
    • Swim only in designated safe zones and always follow instructions from lifeguards or local authorities. Also, water sports and diving must only be done with licensed operators.
    • Do not touch or remove corals, shells, or marine life—it’s illegal and harmful to the ecosystem.
    • Sightseeing follows fixed schedules (like convoys for Baratang that usually start early around 4:30–5:00 AM, or last ferries between islands that typically depart by 2:00–3:00 PM). Missing these timings may mean missing the activity altogether.
    • Do not venture into restricted tribal reserve areas or attempt to interact with indigenous tribes—it is strictly prohibited by law.
    • Islands like Havelock and Neil are calm after dark; shops and restaurants close early compared to mainland cities.
