Trip Location: Bangalore

Take in the rush of adrenaline and excitement in Ramanagara, the birthplace of rock climbing. Located around 50km from Bangalore on the Bangalore-Mysore road, is a favorite amongst people looking for a quick getaway. Lately, the less traversed routes and mesmerizing hills of Ramanagara are driving a great deal of attention from those seeking adventure. Huge mountains, granites, and boulders provide the perfect spot for activities like rock climbing, rappelling, and trekking. This is not the only thing that makes these hills popular, Sholay the blockbuster Hindi movie was shot around Ramgiri, one of Ramanagara's hills and thus, earned the name of 'Sholay hills'.

The area on one side of Ramanagara is covered by the forest reserve spread as far as Magadi for the conservation of Asian Vultures. Apart from them, you can even sight different birds and, rarely though, Indian bear and Leopards.

Sunrise treks through the hills of Ramnagara are going to be an amazing experience for you as you watch the change the rising sun brings to the life around.  Watch the constellation above as you tread through the darkness into the peak, where time halts as you wait for the sun to rise. Watch the bonfire soften the dampness of the cold night. Experience the thrill of Rappelling, which is sure to give you an adrenaline rush and bring out your adventurous side

Went to this trek on weekend with couple of my friends. We were excited by the idea of night trekking. It is not difficult trek but trekking night makes it adventurous. Our guide was very friendly and best part was reaching top and sitting beside the bonfire. View of sunrise from the top was mesmerizing.

Beautifully organised, the guides were really patient as I'm not an avid trekker. Food could be better but the whole experience of night trek was amazing. I meet lot of new people on the trek and had amazing time near bonfire.

Experiencing the beautiful outdoors in the night is very different from a day trek. It was so cold and beautiful, you have to be a little careful but its a lot of fun

Not a great trek, was slightly boring I was looking for something more challenging as I am avid trekker and did lot of other treks in South India. Best part of the trek was meeting and making new friends. This trek is good for first time trekkers.
