Visit the National Nordic Museum in Seattle to learn about the 12,000-year history of the Nordic-American people. Explore the museum created to preserve the memory of thousands of immigrants from the Nordic countries who settled in the Northwest. One can admire the amazing exteriors which are vertically-striated with zinc and the interiors of fjord walls that are composed of faceted white planes symbolizing its glacial origins. Also stroll through the social areas including the ‘kaffe,’ store, auditorium and classrooms in contrast with the sheltering walls of exhibit areas.
