I recommend a visit to the National Marine Museum to all interested in history and maritime artifacts and technologies. The 500-year-old collection of paintings, devices, ship models, sea maps, and navigation tools was fascinating and it illustrates maritime history linking it to today's and tomorrow's civilization. The Amsterdam model 1749 VOC East Indiaman ship was wonderful, and I took a memorable photo there. We booked our tickets through Thrillophilia and ended up with full of memories.

A fascinating look at Dutch naval history during the Golden Age. With only passing glances at the other items, the paintings are the highlights. Simply look through and pause at anything that grabs your interest. The staff was incredibly accommodating when it came to wheelchair access. In the middle courtyard, which is entirely covered by an amazing glass roof, there is a cute little café where you may get beverages or nibbles. Thrillophilia made our trip to the National Maritime Museum so smooth and we ended up having a great experience!!
