Great coffee estate with a relishing aroma always. The mornings were especially pristine. The stay was comfortable and the food was really good. Had a tremendous experience amidst the wilderness. Thanks a lot.

Our hosts were just plain lovely, and that showed in the way they have decorated and maintained this place. I would happily go back to this affordable homestay.

Sakleshpur is definitely a beautiful place and my sister and I liked our stay here a lot. We are already thinking of when to bring our parents here for a family holiday.

A place to relax and rejuvenate — again and again The estate to which the homestay is part of is a memorable experience. The care and hospitality, the tasty and carefully curated menus with local delicacies, the attention to details and cleanliness is any guest’s delight.

It's a pleasant and peaceful homestay away from the main city of Chikmagalur. Extremely amiable hospitality was provided by the hosts. One of them came down all the way to the main road to guide us till the homestay. It's the perfect place for anyone who wants to get away from the noises of the city or the ringing of the mobiles ;-) All you can hear are the birds chirping all day long and its accompanied with the well-grown plants and their flowers in the homestay. We were greeted with a welcome drink on arrival. The food was wonderful, tasty and of sufficient variety and quantity, and was provided at the time we requested it to be provided. Tea & coffee were also available in the evening and morning. The stay was also comfortable with comfortable beds and spreads. There's a coffee estate nearby ( we couldn't visit it as we were on a tight schedule already ). Campfire is organised at night after 8 pm in the midst of trees and coffee plants and in the dark, and it feels really awesome. There's a small empty space in front of the homestay where you can play a simple cricket game or sit and chat :) The hosts were very friendly, flexible and ready to help us anytime. Overall, I would strongly recommend this as a perfect "weekend getaway" from Bangalore, to go and relax without any tension or man-made noises :)

Though we have been to a coffee estate before, we have never actually stayed in one, and this was a one of a kind experience for sure, which I definitely enjoyed a lot. We were really happy with the stay, the quality of the rooms, the staff and the food, and everything was beyond what we expected it to be, considering the price. All my inhibitions about booking tours online are finally gone and I will definitely be booking more tours with Thrillophilia for sure.

It was a very homely environment here, and we were really well taken care of for the staff. For this kind of price, I don’t think I've had a better experience elsewhere, and so I would definitely recommend people to try this out as it was completely worth the money.

Even after booking in advance, we got the triple sharing room. The amenities were nice and the caretaker was nice. The washroom and cleanliness could be better.

We were among the first customers of Silver Woods homestay and we did not regret it. The owner, Thammaiah, guided us to the homestay even though we reached Chikmaglur past midnight. The cottage was neat and clean and the bathrooms had running hot water, powered by solar energy. All meals are served upon request and they are the best South Indian meals I have had till date. Freshly cooked and warmly served, we could not stop licking our fingers. The estate is around 25 km from the main town of Chikmagalur and this makes it the ideal place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle. Mornings were a dream, with only birdsong and fresh, cool air. He gave us a tour of the estate and we loved the coffee plants, the Silver trees, the pepper plants, the elaichi plants, and a little rivulet with clear water. The cottage has a front yard which is cemented and can be used to park your cars. For dog lovers, they have a cute labrador, who has all the energy of a young pup. If you want to get away from the grime and pollution of the city, Silver woods homestay should not be missed

Warm welcoming home The location seems quite remote, but the hosts are incredibly welcoming. The hosts were really friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests since we were travelling with a toddler. The rooms were basic but adequate and there was enough space. They arranged a nice bonfire and a walk through the estate, but the most fascinating of all was the processing of the coffee beans. The malnad cuisine they provided was par excellence. Really good stay overall.

Rooms are pretty decent, got all the amenities. We went to homestay without knowing or reviewing it, initial feeling was like "wow!" (On seeing the main bungalow). Food is average. Little far from Chikmagalur attractions.
