Jhansi is one city where you can learn about the great history of India before independence. Most of the forts of this city had once been significant one way or the other, which is why they have now become popular tourist destinations. If you are visiting Jhansi then it will be a great way to learn as well as enjoy the beauty and charm of these old forts. 
The historic town of Orchha, nestled on the banks of river Betwa, was founded in the 16th century by the Bundela Rajput Chief, Rudra Pratap. Here, the river Betwa splits into seven channels, also called the Satdhara. The legend goes that this is in honour of the seven erstwhile Chiefs of Orchha.

That Khajuraho is still a remote place in Central India is borne out by the fact that the closest major railhead is 175 kilometres (null miles) away. So it isn't surprising that these temples lay hidden in dense forests for centuries, till a British military adventurer decided to pay heed to a suggestion made by a local of taking a detour to see them.

  • Day 1 - Jhansi to Khajuraho

    This is just a suggested itinerary indicative of what could be possible. We can customize as per your needs.

    Post breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Mahalaxmi Temple and Fort, if time permits Later transfer to railway station, to Khajuraho (228 kms.) for onward journey.

    After reaching Khajuraho in the evening. Enjoy the light show in Khajuraho.

    You will be staying overnight in Khajuraho.

  • Day 2 - Khajuraho

    Enjoy sightseeing tours of the Khajuraho city by visiting the UNESCO applauded temples here.

    The temples of Khajuraho mainly known for their erotic sculptures are grouped into three geographical categories: western, eastern and southern groups of temples.

    These temples are also praiseworthy for their unique architecture which didn’t use mortar and the stones were put together with mortise and tenon joints and such formation is a subject of study even today.

    Overnight at KhajurahoYou will be staying overnight in Khajuraho.

  • Day 3 - Khajuraho to Pachmarhi

    In the morning, you will depart for Orchha. You will reach Orchha in the evening.

    Orchha is a small town on the bank of river Betwa and is famous for temples that were built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th centuries and still retain much of their pristine perfection.

    You will be staying overnight in Orchha.

  • Day 4 - Orchha

    After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed for Orchha's sightseeing tour and visit its major tourist destinations such as Chhatris, the Laxmi Narayan temple, the Chandrashekhar Azad Memorial, Raja Mahal and Dauji Ki Haveli.

    Afterwards, we will return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 5 - Orchha to Gwalior

    Today after breakfast in the morning, we will drive to Gwalior.

    On arrival at Gwalior, check in at your pre-booked hotel.

    Afterwards, we will head to visit the major attractions of Gwalior.

    To start with the tour, we will first head toward the Gwalior Fort, the largest fort of India.

    It is India's one of the largest forts built in the 8th century by Man Singh Tomar. Thereafter, we will explore the beautiful Jai Vilas Palace, Teli Ka Mandir, Man Mandir Palace, Padavali temple, Suraj Kund and the Bateshwar valley.

    Later, we will leave for the departure.
