The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is an easy to moderate level trek that is considered one of the best treks in Nepal. This trek offers striking views of some of the most majestic Himalayan Mountains like Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiuchuli. During the trek, you walk amongst lush green forests blazing with beautiful red rhododendron.
You will get a chance to observe the lives of the local Gurung tribe when you stay amidst the beautiful hamlet that you cross on your way. On the way, you will be tracing the ancient trade routes used by Nepalese people. Poon Hill is a place known for its beautiful views of the rising sun. Here you can see the sun dawning on some of the highest Himalayan Mountain ranges. This trek route is famous for its alternating gradient between forests, plain fields, and hills.

During the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, you will pass through charming hamlets and villages and see some of the most magnificent snow-capped mountain peaks. You shall get a chance to see the lifestyle of the native Gurung people in the villages and enjoy the traditional Nepalese hospitality.
This trekking in Pokhara lets you experience the magical sunrise at the Poon Hill viewpoint. Throughout your trek, you shall be able to grasp the view of Himalayan ranges that constitute Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Hima.
The Ghorepani trekking activity provides you with comfortable hotel pickup and drop-off facility in a convenient private car. The package is also inclusive of warm stay in 3* hotel for 2 days in both Kathmandu and Pokhara respectively with breakfast. Besides, the activity the package takes care of all accommodations in lodges/tea houses during the treks.
The trekking activity also includes lunch, dinner and breakfast during trekking. Nevertheless, the package contains a National park permit, Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) Permit, in addition to all necessary paper works.
The 7 days activity package is also inclusive of an experienced, helpful and friendly guide, porters (1 porter for 2 clients) who would promote your safety and well-being throughout the trip. There is also the arrangement of travel rescue along with all necessary medical supplies (first aid kit will be available) in case of any emergency situation.

On the first day of your arrival, you will be welcomed at the hotel that marks the start of the trekking trip.

This drive will take most of our morning time, leaving much of the afternoon to get a warming glimpse of Pokhara Valley and fall in love with its ethereal beauty. You can observe the glistening white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

You begin your trek from Nayapul (1050m.) and pass via Birethanti (1065m.). The first part of your trek is comfortable, alongside numerous small hamlets and settlements.
Afterwards, you ascend gently to the final destination of the day to Tikhedhunga (1577 m). The journey will involve four and a half hours of trekking.

Your trek begins with a steep 2 hours ascend and then level gently passing through Magar villages of Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti.
On the way, you can see the scenic view of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), and Annapurna south (7219m).
Now your trail becomes easier, as it passes through the forest and descends gently to the final camp.

Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow-capped mountain peaks.
After breakfast, trek Ghorepani to Tikhendunga (2650 m.) then Pokhara through the deep forests of rhododendrons, bamboos and oaks.
En route, you frequently see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, local birds and green scenarios.
While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where Nepal’s first Cable car is operated to reach Manakamana Temple.
En route, you can enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities.
From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to Kathmandu.

Trekking is one of my favourite hobbies, but of late, I haven’t been trekking so much, so I took this vacation to do trekking and I absolutely loved it. It had been the best trek ever. Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking In Nepal is one of the most beautiful places to trek. It was awesome. It is easy and nice. Although it is of moderate level challenge it was definitely easy with proper training. The food was also quite good and nice. In short, I had a nice trek here and I am hoping forward to do it again soon.

Some treks are worth all the money spent. This trek is something like that. It is totally worth every penny. I totally loved the trek. It was quite tiresome but nevertheless, it was so fun. I loved it completely. I so wanted to do it again sooner.
The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a relatively easy trek suitable for people who are just beginning to trek and are reasonably fit. This summit of this trek is not located at a high attitude, therefore, does not pose any mountain sickness related problems.
However, the weather in the mountains and the health of people are unpredictable and can lead to changes in the trek. We provide trek leaders who are experienced and professional and capable of managing such situations.

You will be provided with breakfast and dinner at the teahouse where you will be staying on the days of the trek. Lunch will be provided at the restaurants on the way while trekking. Breakfast usually consists of porridge, noodles, egg, and bread is included in both half-board and full board accommodation options.
Lunch is not included in the half-board option. In the full board option, meals generally include dal (lentils), curry, and vegetables. Boiled water will be provided at the teahouses. Cold drinks, beer, and other snacks are available at restaurants at an additional cost.

Yes. You will be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara. Information about your pickup time and the details of the itinerary will be communicated to your hotel before 7:00 pm the day before the trek starts.
An experienced and professional trek leader will accompany you for the duration of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. The safety of all the group members is of utmost importance to us and the trek leader is trained to manage the health of the group members and handling their safety during any unforeseen circumstances.
The trek leader has the authority to change any part of the itinerary or cancel the trek in case there is a risk to the safety of the group members. Reasons like abrupt changes in the weather, unexpected natural disasters, changes in the political situation, ill health of a group member can cause changes in the itinerary or cancellation.
