About the activity:

  • Head to the beautiful sandbank situated in the south in a blue lagoon, approximately 40 mins from the capital.
  • Relax on the white sands, under the sun umbrella or swim in the warm waters, or snorkel the in the house reef which is s an ideal location in order to learn snorkelling with the help of your guide or refresh your skills.
  • Leave from there and head over to two of the best snorkelling points close to Malé. (Sites might differ, relying on weather and existing circumstances, but you can be assured of an abundance of colourful tropical fish and coral life.)
  • If lucky, you might get to witness pristine sea turtles, reef sharks, and rays keep looking out for Nemo (aka clownfish).
  • Sail to the north and visit the island of Huraa, learn how to live on an island, and get insights into the local culture and tradition.
  • See how the villagers live their lives and view the process of making Maldivian dry fish. Explore the mangrove swamps and freshwater lake and learn more about this fragile ecosystem.
  • Enjoy a delectable lunch at a local restaurant post which you can relax on a traditional joahli seat. Visit souvenir shops to purchase local handicrafts and mementos.
  • In the evening, the boat captain will turn east of Hulhumale to a channel where there is a high probability of encountering dolphins.

How to reach?

The meeting point of the activity is Main Jetty of Hulhumale, which is situated at a distance of 1 km from the city center and can be easily reached on foot as well as by public or private transportation.

Know Before You Go for Full Day Maldives Adventure

  • You will be provided with buoyancy aids for all non-swimmers and our guides will provide instruction and coaching on how to float, snorkel and utilize the equipment.
  • The guide will assess your confidence and ability in the water to ensure it is safe to proceed to a coral reef area for your first snorkel encounter.
  • Be sure to share your shoe size so we can have the correct find sizes available for you.
  • All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. A PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
