Know Before You Go for Budapest Car Rentals

• All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of arrival.
• ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of arrival.
• Credit cards must be presented upon pick up and must be owned by the main driver. Due to the upscale car type, two credit cards are required to be presented upon pick up.
• The store charges a security deposit between € 500.00 - 1000.00.The final amount will be determined at the store.
• The car rental company needs the main driver’s embossed chip credit card at pick up.
• You must present the printed voucher when you arrive at the car rental store. If you don't show your rental voucher, the rental company may charge you at local rates.
• Drivers aged below 21 are not be allowed to rent a car; The supplier may charge a "risk driving fee" at pick up if driver’s age is between 21-24; Drivers aged above 70 are not allowed to rent a car;Drivers with less than 1 years of experience will not be allowed to rent a car.If the driver can't meet the rental requirements at pick up, the booking will be cancelled without a refund.
• If the store insists upon upgrading your chosen car type for an additional fee, please question and seek clear reason for their recommendation. Generally, additional fees should not be charged if the car rental store has insufficient inventory or cannot provide the same type of car. If the store forces you to upgrade, please document evidence of your communication with the store (e.g. hard copies of documents, voice recordings, etc.) or promptly contact customer service.
• Early pick up may be subject to additional charges. If you wish to change the pick up time, please check with the car rental store regarding availability and any extra costs.
• If you are late for your pick up, please contact the store or customer service prior to your scheduled pick up time. Otherwise, you may not be able to pick up your car.
• Rental fees for any unused days or time will not be refunded, even if the car is returned before the agreed upon time. Some stores may charge additional fees for early return.
• If you need to return the car at a later time than scheduled, be sure to notify the store in advance. You will be charged additional fees based on the market price, payable directly at the store upon arrival. Failure to notify the store may result in penalty charges.
• The fuel tank will be full at the time of pickup, and must be full when the car is returned. Otherwise, the car rental company will charge for the cost of the fuel shortfall plus the labor cost of refueling.
