About the Annapurna Base Camp Trek:

The Annapurna Base Camp is perched on a cloud-piercing height of 13,550 feet in the northern region of Nepal. Starting from Banthanti, Annapurna Base Camp offers a stunning opportunity to relish the breathtaking heights of giant Himalayan ranges. The mountain ranges included in this tour bring you through oak, pine, rhododendron, and lush green rice fields engraved with a diamond-like carpet of snow amidst majestic slopes of misty valleys. Since the Annapurna Base Camp Trek happens around a vast area of Annapurna Conservation Area,. You'll be walking across the Modi River and discovering some of the massive peaks at 7000–8000 m.

How to Reach Pokhara:

  • By Air- To reach the Annapurna Base Camp trek, you can fly from major Indian cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Varanasi to Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you can take another flight to Pokhara in Nepal. This air route provides a quicker option to travel to the Pokhara in just 5 to 6 hours.
  • By Road- Regular bus services are available from Kathmandu and Sanauli to Pokhara. You can either opt for a local bus from the New Bus Stand, or a Greenline tourist bus from the Tourist Bus Station in Kathmandu to reach Pokhara.
  • By Train- There is no direct train to Pokhara in Nepal. The nearest railway stations to Pokhara are Jaynagar, New Jalpaiguri, and Gorakhpur. You can take a cab or taxi to cross the borders of India at Panitanki or Sunauli. From there you can take a bus to Pokhara via Kathmandu.

Day 1
Arrival in Pokhara
Welcome to the “City of Lakes”, Pokhara! which serves as the gateway to many Himalayan treks, including the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Post check-in at your tea house, enjoy your day at leisure. Also, you can explore the lakeside area of Pokhran to witness the beautiful Phewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake and visit the local shops. Later, return to your tea house on your own and enjoy an overnight stay.

    Day 2
    Transfer to Nayapul | Trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk
    Wake up to the beautiful sunrise over the mountains and fuel up for an interesting day. Post check-out, enjoy a scenic drive to Nayapul. Enroute, take a refreshing tea break in the village of Birethanti. As you reach Nayapul get briefed about the trail and gear up for your trek to Ghandruk village. Trek along the trail that follows the Modi Khola River, passing through lush forests and terrace fields. As you reach, check-in at your tea house for an overnight stay.

    Activity: Trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk Village

    Trekking Distance: 11 Km | Duration: 4-5 hours | Elevation: 6364 Ft. 

    • Get briefed about your trail from your trek leader in Nayapul.
    • Begin your trek along the trail following the Modi Khola River and pass through the dense Rhododendron forests, conifer forests, and terrace fields. 
    • Also, witness small villages like Tikhedunga, Ulleri as you pass by them and get glimpses of the snow-capped Annapurna range as you continue your trek.
    • As you reach Ghandruk Village, famous for its cultural heritage, and panoramic views of the famous ranges like the Annapurna, Macchapuchre, Dhaulagiri, etc. check-in to your tea house followed by an overnight stay.

    Trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa
    In the morning, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges and gear up for your next stretch of the trek. Check-out, and begin your trek through dense oak and rhododendron forests. On your way, pass through the picturesque village of Kimche before reaching the Chhomrong Village. Upon reaching Chhomrong, start your descend to the beautiful Chhomrong Khola, and continue to Sinuwa. As you reach Sinuwa, check-in, to your tea house for an overnight stay.
    Activity: Trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa

    Trekking Distance: 14 km | Duration: 6-7 hours | Elevation: 7742 ft. 

    • Begin your trek towards a scenic village, Sinuwa and bid farewell to a picturesque surrounding of Ghandruk. 
    • Gradually descend through the terrace fields and the charming gurung villages like the Kimche and witness local villagers and their livestock. 
    • Continue your trek along the winding trail that leads you deeper into the dense oak, rhododendron and bamboo forest.
    • Reach the Chhomrong, a picturesque gurung village and begin your descend towards Chhomrong Khola.
    • The descend is steep so don't forget to watch your steps, and continue your trek to Sinuwa.
    • On your way, witness the change in vegetation and climate as you gain the altitude, ascending through the bamboo and Rhododendron groves.
    • As you arrive in Sinuwa, check-in to your tea house for an overnight stay.

    Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali
    Get ready for a trek amidst the beautiful Himalayan scenery. Check-out, and start trekking towards the Annapurna Sanctuary. Trek through the dense bamboo and rhododendron forests with the sound of birds chirping and streams flowing nearby. Enjoy the views of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri Range and pass through the Dovan village and ascend to Hinku Cave before reaching Deurali. Upon reaching, check-in to your tea house followed by an overnight stay.
    Activity: Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali

    Trekking Distance: 10 Km | Duration: 5-6 hours | Elevation: 10597 Ft. 

    • Start your trek towards Deurali, bidding farewell to the Sinuwa village with a gradual ascend through lush forests following the tcourse of Modi Khola River.
    • Trek towards the Annapurna Sanctuary through the dense rhododendron and bamboo forests and spot birds and animals including the Danphe (Himalayan monal). 
    • On your way, pass through Dovan village and ascend to Hinku cave to reach Deurali and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding range. 
    • As you approach towards Deurali, prepare for a final ascent that may involve some steep sections and rocky terrain.
    • Upon reaching Deurali, check-in to your tea house and enjoy your overnight stay.

    Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
    Wake up in the scenic views of the mountain ranges and gear up for the most exciting part of your trek. Check-out, and begin your trek through the rhododendron forests towards Macchapuchre Base Camp and enter the Annapurna sanctuary. Trek through the sanctuary and enjoy views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and other peaks. As you reach Annapurna Base Camp, settle in your camp. Also, explore and capture photos of the stunning landscape.
    Activity: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp

    Trekking Distance: 9 Km | Duration: 5 hours | Elevation: 1354 Ft.


    • Begin your trek from Deurali towards the beautiful Macchapuchre Base camp through the trail that passes through rugged mountain terrains following the course of the Modi Khola River. 
    • Continue your trek through rocky terrain of the vast Annapurna Sanctuary and get a chance towitness wildlife and various birds along your way. 
    • The trail involves rocky paths, stone steeps and occasional steep climb so don't forget to watch your steps.
    • As you reach the amazing Annapurna Base Camp, enjoy views of the Annapurna I, Macchapuchre, Gangapurna and other peaks. 
    • Later, settle in your camp, and acclimatize to the higher altitude followed by an overnight stay.

    Downhill Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo Village
    Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Annapurna Massif and head out to begin your descend. On your way, enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains including the Dhaulagiri ranges, Hiunchuli range and others while passing through Macchapuchre Base Camp. Traverse through the Annapurna Sanctuary, and reach the Himalaya village for lunch. Continue your trek downhill and reach Bamboo village, surrounded by Bamboo forests. Check-in, to your tea house and enjoy your overnight stay.
    Activity: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo Village

    Trekking Distance: 13 Km | Duration: 6-7hours | Elevation: 7677 Ft. 


    • Begin your with catching sunrise and fueling up for descent from Annapurna Base Camp towards the Bamboo Village.
    • The trail involves a gradual descend through varied terrain, including rocky paths, forested paths and occasional stone steps.
    • Pass through the Macchapuchre Base Camp and enjoy panoramic views of the Macchapuchre, Annapurna I, and other peaks.
    • Continue your trek through lush forests of rhododendron and bamboo of the vast Annapurna sanctuary listening to the soothing sounds of nature along the way.
    • Post-lunch, continue your trek to the Bamboo village, following the trail winding through forested terrain descending steadily towards the Bamboo Village.

    Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Village
    In the morning, enjoy your breakfast and fuel up for the day's trek. Begin your downhill trek from Bamboo village through the lush forests of bamboo, oaks and rhododendrons. On your way, pass by the Sinuwa village and stop for lunch in the village of Chhomrong, . Post-lunch, continue your trek towards passing through the terrace fields with panoramic views of the Annapurna range. As you reach Jhinu, take a refreshing dip in the natural hot spring and enjoy your overnight stay at the tea house.
    Activity: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Village

    Trekking Distance: 10 Km | Duration: 5-6 hours | Elevation: 5839 Ft. 


    • Post-breakfast, begin your downhill trek feom Bamboo village, surrounded by Bamboo forests. 
    • The trail from Bamboo village involves a mixture of uphill and downhill sections and passes through the charming village, lush forests and riversides.
    • Continue your trek and take a stop for lunch at the beautiful Chhomrong village. 
    • After lunch, continue your trek following the trail as it winds its way through the forested terrain, staying focused and maintaining a steady pace and reach Jhinu, a charming village known for its natural hot springs. 
    • Take a refreshing dip in the hot springs of Jhinu and enjoy your overnight stay the tea house, post check-in.

    Trek from Jhinu Village to Nayapul | Transfer to Pokhara
    Get ready for the final day downhill trek to Nayapul from Jhinu. Begin your trek following the trail downhill towards Modi Khola River and cross it. Continue your trek and pass by the village of Syauli Bazaar with the panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and other ranges. Upon reaching Nayapul, get transffered to Pokhara and enjoy a transition from the mountain landscapes to the vibrant city atmosphere. On your arrival in Nayapul, check-in to your hotel followed by an overnight stay.
    Activity: Trek from Jhinu Village to Nayapul

    Trekking distance: 12 Km | Duration: 4-5 hours | Elevation: 3510 Ft.

    • Begin your day with a breakfast and gear up for your final day downhill trek to Nayapul, following the trail which is mostly downhill, with occasional short climbs.
    • On your way, cross the beautiful Modi Khola River while listening to the sound of River and birds chirping. 
    • Pass by the Syauli Bazaar village and enjoy panoramic views of the Annapurna South, Hiunchuli mountain ranges. 
    • As you approach Nayapul, enjoy the final descent of your trek leading you closer to the end of your trek.

    More Details about Annapurna Base Camp Trek

    Know Before You Go for Annapurna Base Camp Trek

    • Backpack offloading charges – If you wish to offload your backpack, there will be an additional charge of Rs. 6,725 inclusive of tax. The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 kgs.
    • Transport to and from Pokhara – You will need to reach Pokhara on your own on Day 1 and arrange for your journey back from Pokhara on Day 9.
    • Food during transit – The trek fee does not include meals purchased during the journey from Pokhara to Ghandruk and the return drive from Syauli Bazaar to Pokhara.
    • Use of plug points in tea houses – Most tea houses allow the use electricity charging points at an extra cost – 100-300 NPR, with the cost being towards the higher side as you go farther into the trek.
    • Use of wifi and telephone in tea houses – You can buy wifi at all tea houses. Cost ranges from 200-300 NPR. The quality is not great. Major tea houses also have the facility to make calls.
    • Use of RO treated water – all tea houses provide free filtered drinking water. If you wish to use RO treated water, there is an additional charge of 50 NPR per bottle.
    • Buffer day: In case this is used, you have to pay us Rs. 3,250 per day (INR) + 5% GST for the buffer day. We will collect this only if we use the buffer day. The money will be collected by your trek leader.
    • Tip: Porters in Nepal expect to be tipped. The tip amount for people who offload their bags will be INR 1,000 per person. If you do not offload your bags, the tip amount will be INR 700 per person.
    • Suitcases/strolleys/duffel bags will not be allowed. Please note that last minute offloading will not be possible on this trek.
    • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
    • Pay heed to the tour leaders or instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound experience.
    • Avoid treking during the nights.
    • Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the tour.
    • Budget at least Rs. 250 per person per day on bottled water.
    • The tour takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
    • While visiting the temples, do obey proper dress-code and do not hurt the local sentiments of the places.
    • Rescheduling Policy for Private (Standard & Deluxe Package) & Group Bookings: 1) If rescheduling is made 7 days after the Booking Date till 15 days prior to the Date of Travel then 30.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as rescheduling fees. | 2) If rescheduling is made 0 days to 15 days before the Date of Travel then 100.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. | 3) If bookings are made 15 days before the Date of Travel no rescheduling & modifications will be made.
