Rajendra Tapare & Family
Travelling with seven family members across three generations requires careful planning. Everyone enjoys different things, and keeping the whole group engaged is never easy.
For the Tapare family, Kerala turned out to be the perfect destination.
Over seven days, they travelled through Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Kovalam, Kanyakumari, and Trivandrum. Along the way, they experienced waterfalls, tea gardens, backwaters, beaches, and cultural landmarks.
Most importantly, they enjoyed these experiences together.
Kerala Began with Waterfalls and Mountain Views
The family's journey started in Kochi before heading towards Munnar.
Their first major stop was Athirappilly Falls. Surrounded by dense greenery, the waterfall offered a spectacular welcome to Kerala. The sound of rushing water and the fresh air immediately set the tone for the trip.
The drive to Munnar was equally scenic.
Stops at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls broke up the journey and gave everyone a chance to admire Kerala's natural beauty. The winding roads, misty hills, and lush landscapes kept the family entertained throughout the drive.
Once in Munnar, they settled into Star Emirates Luxury Resort & Spa, a property that Rajendra later highlighted in his review.
The following day was dedicated to exploring the hill station.
The family visited the Tata Tea Museum and learned about the region's tea-growing history. They also explored viewpoints such as Yellapatty Grassland and the 2nd Mile Viewpoint, where rolling hills stretched far into the distance.
For young Niranjan, the chocolate factory stop was an easy favourite. For the adults, the peaceful atmosphere and cool weather made Munnar one of the most relaxing parts of the trip.
The Houseboat Became the Family's Favourite Experience

After visiting Thekkady and its beautiful surroundings, the family continued towards Alleppey.
This part of the trip brought a completely different experience.
Instead of mountain roads and sightseeing stops, they found themselves surrounded by calm backwaters, coconut trees, and small villages.
Checking into a premium houseboat quickly became one of the highlights of the holiday.
The backwaters encouraged everyone to slow down. There was no rush to reach the next attraction. The family spent time together, enjoyed freshly prepared meals, and watched everyday life unfold along the waterways.
Fishing boats drifted by. Children waved from riverbanks. Coconut palms reflected in the calm waters.
For a family travelling together, these quiet moments became just as memorable as the major attractions.
The houseboat offered something many holidays often lack: uninterrupted time together.
From Jatayu to the Edge of India

The final leg of the trip introduced the family to Kerala's coastline.
After arriving in Kovalam, they spent time enjoying the beaches and ocean views. The relaxed atmosphere provided a welcome contrast to the hills of Munnar and the backwaters of Alleppey.
One of the standout experiences was the visit to Jatayu Earth Centre.
The giant sculpture immediately captured everyone's attention. Set against dramatic rocky terrain, it quickly became one of the most photographed spots of the journey.
The next day brought another major highlight.
The family travelled to Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of mainland India. Standing at the meeting point of three water bodies felt special.
They visited the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and admired the towering Thiruvalluvar Statue. The coastal views and spiritual significance of the destination made it a memorable stop.
For many travellers, Kanyakumari is a bucket-list destination. For the Tapare family, it became one of the defining moments of the trip.
Why This Was Their Third Trip with Thrillophilia

At the end of the journey, Vipul shared what stood out most about the experience.
"Every day was thoughtfully planned with a perfect mix of nature, relaxation, and cultural experiences."
The itinerary managed to balance sightseeing with downtime. This was especially important for a group that included both senior travellers and a young child.
Vipul also appreciated the hotels selected for the journey.
"All the hotel selections were great, especially Star Emirates in Munnar and Uday Samudra in Kovalam."
The family's transportation also played an important role in keeping the trip comfortable.
"The tempo traveller was clean and comfortable, and the driver was polite, punctual, and accommodating to our needs."
Special appreciation was reserved for Yashika Variyani, who coordinated the trip from Thrillophilia.
"Your constant communication, patience, and support made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. You truly felt like one of us."
Perhaps the strongest endorsement came in the final part of the review.
"This was our third trip with Thrillophilia, and once again, you've delivered an amazing experience."
After seven days of exploring Kerala together, the family returned home with far more than photographs. They carried back memories of waterfalls, tea gardens, backwaters, beaches, and quality time spent together.
For the Tapare family, Kerala was not just a destination. It became another memorable chapter in their growing collection of travel experiences with Thrillophilia.
