"I recently had the pleasure of exploring Kerala through a well-organised tour package of Thrillophilia, and it truly lived up to its title as 'God's Own Country'!"

That was how Vrinda described her Kerala holiday after returning home.

Over six days, she and Anish travelled through Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, and Kochi, experiencing the landscapes that have made Kerala one of India's most loved destinations. From tea-covered hills and waterfalls to wildlife reserves, backwaters, and cultural experiences, the trip offered a little bit of everything.

What stood out most was how different each destination felt from the last. Every stop revealed a new side of Kerala, making the journey feel varied without ever becoming rushed.

Munnar Was Everything They Imagined Kerala Would Be

For many travellers, Kerala brings to mind rolling tea plantations, mist-covered hills, and winding roads through the Western Ghats.

Munnar delivered exactly that.

The journey from Kochi to Munnar introduced the couple to Kerala's natural beauty almost immediately. Stops at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls offered spectacular views, while the drive itself passed through lush greenery and mountain landscapes.

Once they reached Munnar, the pace slowed down.

The next day was spent exploring some of the region's best-known attractions. At the Tata Tea Museum, they learned about the history of tea cultivation in the area. The Macofa Chocolate Factory added a sweeter stop to the day, while viewpoints such as Yellapatty Grassland and 2nd Mile offered sweeping views of the surrounding hills.

One of the most enjoyable parts of Munnar was simply taking in the scenery. Whether it was looking across endless tea estates or spotting clouds drifting over the mountains, the landscape constantly felt postcard-worthy.

The cultural experiences also added something different to the journey. Watching traditional Kathakali performances and Kerala's martial arts demonstrations gave Vrinda and Anish a glimpse into the state's rich cultural heritage beyond its natural attractions.

Thekkady Showed a Different Side of Kerala

A breathtaking performance that showcased Kerala's warrior heritage

After the cool hills of Munnar, the journey continued towards Thekkady.

The scenery changed noticeably. Tea plantations gradually gave way to forests, spice plantations, and wildlife-rich landscapes.

At Periyar Lake, the atmosphere felt calm and unhurried. Surrounded by greenery, the lake offered a completely different experience from the mountain viewpoints they had visited earlier.

Thekkady also gave the couple something many itineraries overlook: time to slow down.

With a leisure day built into the schedule, they were able to enjoy the destination at their own pace. Some travellers prefer constantly moving from one attraction to another, but sometimes the most enjoyable moments come when there is no fixed schedule to follow.

That slower rhythm allowed them to appreciate Thekkady's peaceful surroundings and natural beauty without feeling rushed.

One Night on a Houseboat Was Not Enough

Sometimes the best memories are made while floating through paradise

If there was one experience that perfectly captured the essence of Kerala, it was Alleppey.

In her review, Vrinda called the houseboat experience the highlight of the entire trip, and it is easy to understand why.

After several days spent exploring hills and forests, arriving in Alleppey felt like entering a completely different world. The backwaters moved at their own pace. Narrow canals wound through villages, fishermen worked along the waterways, and coconut trees lined the banks in every direction.

The overnight houseboat stay offered a front-row seat to this unique way of life.

As the boat cruised through the backwaters, the couple could simply sit back and enjoy the scenery. There were no crowds, no traffic, and no need to hurry anywhere.

The experience felt less like sightseeing and more like stepping into the rhythm of Kerala itself.

Watching the sunset over the water while the houseboat drifted through the backwaters became one of the most memorable moments of the journey.

Why They Trusted Thrillophilia?

A good itinerary can make a destination enjoyable.

A well-planned one allows travellers to focus entirely on the experience.

Reflecting on the trip, Vrinda highlighted how smoothly everything was organised.

"The tour operator was responsive from booking to the final drop-off. Everything was timely and stress-free."

She also appreciated how parts of the itinerary were customised based on their interests, allowing the trip to feel more personal rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

The journey was coordinated by Mohd Adil from the Thrillophilia team, who helped bring together Kerala's most iconic experiences into a seamless six-day itinerary.

The couple also appreciated the comfortable transportation, supportive driver, and well-selected accommodations throughout the trip.

As Vrinda shared in her review:

"Whether you're a nature lover, a cultural explorer, or just looking to relax, Kerala has it all."

After six days of tea plantations, wildlife, backwaters, cultural experiences, and peaceful landscapes, both she and Anish returned home with exactly the kind of holiday they had hoped for.

And perhaps the best summary came in the final line of her review:

"Lastly, thank you so much, Thrillophilia, for making this trip a memorable one!"
