What happens when five travellers decide to spend a week in Dubai? You get a little bit of everything. Glittering skylines, traditional neighbourhoods, desert dunes, dinner cruises, giant flower installations and enough theme-park thrills to keep the group busy for days.

For Ashok Kumar Tabjuil and his group, their seven-day Dubai holiday brought together some of the city's most iconic experiences without making the trip feel like a race from one attraction to another. From watching Dubai sparkle from the waters of Dubai Marina to going dune bashing in the Arabian Desert, every day brought a completely different side of the city.

And the best part? They had comfortable vehicles and punctual transfers taking care of the getting-around part, leaving the group to focus on actually enjoying Dubai.

Watching Dubai Come Alive on the Marina

Ashok and his family captured a beautiful Dubai moment with the iconic Dubai Frame in the backdrop

Their first evening began in one of Dubai's most recognisable settings, Dubai Marina. Instead of spending their first night simply settling into the hotel, the group headed to the harbour for a Dhow dinner cruise.

As the traditional boat moved through the marina, the experience became less about sightseeing and more about simply taking in the city. The water reflected the illuminated skyscrapers while dinner was served onboard, followed by a traditional Tanoura dance performance. After arriving in Dubai only hours earlier, it was a pretty spectacular introduction to the city.

The next day brought them closer to Dubai's famous landmarks. They explored the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where the wind towers, narrow lanes and traditional architecture offered a glimpse of what Dubai looked like before its skyline became synonymous with futuristic skyscrapers. They also visited the Dubai Museum, followed by stops at Jumeirah Beach, Jumeirah Mosque and Atlantis The Palm.

Then came the big one. After exploring Dubai Mall, the group headed to Burj Khalifa and ascended to the 124th and 125th floors. At more than 450 metres above ground, the view puts Dubai's enormous scale into perspective. Roads look like lines, skyscrapers become tiny blocks and the coastline stretches far into the distance.

Dubai’s Desert Has a Completely Different Personality

Ashok and his family enjoyed a colourful Dubai outing surrounded by vibrant flowers and beautiful views

If the first couple of days showed Ashok the glamorous side of Dubai, the next one took the group somewhere completely different.

Their day began at the Dubai Frame, where the enormous golden structure offers views towards both old and new Dubai. But the real change of scenery came later, when their vehicle switched from city roads to desert tracks for a 4x4 desert safari.

The group headed into the dunes for dune bashing, with the Land Cruiser climbing and sliding down the sandy slopes. There was also sandboarding and a camel ride, giving them different ways to experience the desert rather than simply stopping for photographs.

Then came the part that made the desert feel especially different from the city they had spent the previous days exploring. As daylight faded, the group settled down for a BBQ dinner under the open sky, with live performances adding to the evening. After spending their previous nights surrounded by skyscrapers and city lights, sitting in the desert with the sky stretching overhead was quite the change of scene.

Millions of Flowers, Global Village and a Day With Superheroes

Dubai was not done surprising them yet. The following day traded golden sand for colour at Dubai Miracle Garden. The garden is known for its enormous floral installations, with flowers arranged into elaborate structures and displays. For a group that had already spent days photographing skyscrapers and desert landscapes, this was an entirely different kind of backdrop.

The evening became even more energetic at Global Village. Instead of simply visiting another attraction, the group could wander between international pavilions, browse souvenirs, try different foods and watch live entertainment. It was the kind of place where you can arrive with a plan and still end up spending hours exploring whatever catches your attention next.

Their fifth day took them indoors for an entirely different experience at IMG Worlds of Adventure. With zones dedicated to Marvel, Cartoon Network, Lost Valley and IMG Boulevard, the attraction gave the group a full day away from conventional sightseeing. They could move from superhero-themed rides to dinosaur-inspired attractions and entertainment, making it a particularly fun change of pace after several days of city tours.

Why Ashok Recommends Thrillophilia for Dubai

For Ashok and his group of five, one of the biggest advantages was simply how smoothly everything connected. Their comfortable private vehicles handled the airport transfers, city sightseeing, attraction transfers and desert excursion, with Ashok specifically appreciating that the pickups and drops were “very punctual.”

That matters on a Dubai itinerary packed with experiences. Instead of figuring out how five people would get from the hotel to Dubai Marina, then to Burj Khalifa, Miracle Garden, Global Village or IMG Worlds, the group could focus on what was waiting at the other end.

And Ashok's final verdict says pretty much everything about the trip: “Dubai is amazing and a must visit place and Thrillophilia made it easy to explore and enjoy with no much effort.” After seven days of skyline views, desert adventures, cultural stops and full-on entertainment, he signed off with a promise: “Hope to travel more with you👍”
