“All in all, it was a good experience with Thrillophilia for our Dubai trip. Vehicles and drivers were very good. The itinerary was all good.”
Dubai is the kind of city that makes you wonder how so much can fit into one skyline. Glass towers rise from the desert, artificial islands stretch into the Arabian Gulf, and just beyond the city’s glittering streets, endless golden dunes begin. It is a place where a morning can be spent surrounded by futuristic architecture and the evening can end under a desert sky.
But Dubai is not just about the Burj Khalifa or its famous skyline. There are colourful souks filled with gold and spices, immersive worlds like AYA Universe, sprawling attractions at Global Village, and the thrill of racing across the dunes. And when you think you have seen it all, Abu Dhabi brings another side of the UAE into the picture.
For Ayushi Gupta and Naveen, some of these experiences became the highlights of their seven-day holiday.
A Glittering Welcome on the Dubai Marina
Their first evening set the tone for the trip with a dinner cruise along Dubai Marina. As the boat moved past the illuminated skyline, Ayushi and Naveen got their first real glimpse of Dubai after sunset. The views of Bluewaters, Jumeirah Beach Residence and Palm Island made for an easy introduction to the city, with the glittering towers reflected across the water.
It was also a relaxed way to begin the holiday. Instead of rushing between attractions after arriving, they could settle in, enjoy dinner and take in the city from the water. With the evening cruise bringing together the skyline, music and the lively atmosphere of Dubai Marina, the couple got their first taste of the city's famous nightlife without having to plan a thing themselves.
Dubai From 828 Metres Above the Ground
The next day was all about seeing the city from different perspectives. Their Dubai city tour took them through landmarks including Jumeirah Beach, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, the Dubai Museum and the Palm Jumeirah, offering a glimpse of both the modern and historic sides of the city.
The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the Burj Khalifa. At 828 metres, the world's tallest building completely changes the way Dubai looks. From the 124th-floor observation deck, the city's skyscrapers, roads and coastline stretched out far below them. Later, they watched the Dubai Fountain come alive with music and lights, bringing an energetic end to a day spent exploring some of the city's most recognisable sights.
From AYA Universe to the Arabian Desert
Dubai surprised them again the following day, this time with an experience that felt worlds away from its skyscrapers. At AYA Universe, immersive installations, light and technology transformed the visit into something more interactive and surreal. The 40,000-square-foot experience is divided into themed zones, each creating its own visual world.
By afternoon, the scenery had changed completely. The couple headed into the desert for a safari, where dune bashing turned the quiet-looking landscape into an adrenaline-filled playground. They tried sandboarding, enjoyed a camel ride and watched the desert change character as evening approached. At the camp, the experience slowed down with henna art, a BBQ dinner and traditional entertainment, including tanoura, belly dancing and a fire show under the night sky.
From Gold Souks to a Village Around the World
The following day brought a completely different side of Dubai. At The View at The Palm, Ayushi and Naveen could look across Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and Dubai's ever-growing skyline from a high vantage point. The view offered a chance to appreciate just how ambitious the city's architecture looks when seen from above.
Later, they wandered through the Gold Souk and Spice Souk, where glittering jewellery displays gave way to colourful stalls filled with aromatic spices. By evening, the couple was at Global Village, where different cultures, cuisines, shopping and entertainment came together in one sprawling destination. The day ended at Topgolf Dubai, adding a more casual and playful experience to an otherwise sightseeing-heavy itinerary.
A Day of Grand Mosques and Supercars in Abu Dhabi
The journey then continued to Abu Dhabi, where the atmosphere shifted from Dubai's fast-paced energy to grand architecture and cultural landmarks. The couple visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, with its enormous white domes, intricate detailing and expansive courtyards. They also explored Emirates Palace and Heritage Village before getting a taste of local shopping at the Date Market.
Their final full day brought another change of pace. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was all about speed and adrenaline, with the chance to experience Formula Rossa, famous as the world's fastest roller coaster. From there, they stepped into the colourful world of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, exploring themed zones inspired by characters from DC Comics and Looney Tunes before winding down with an Indian meal at Gazebo Restaurant.
How Ayushi had a Hassle-Free Holiday with Thrillophilia
Across seven days, Ayushi and Naveen experienced several sides of the UAE, from the lights of Dubai Marina and the heights of Burj Khalifa to the quiet expanse of the desert and the grand architecture of Abu Dhabi. What connected these experiences was the ease of moving between them.
For the couple, that turned out to be one of the best parts of the trip. The vehicles and drivers were reliable, the itinerary kept the days varied, and the arrangements meant they could spend less time figuring out logistics and more time actually enjoying Dubai. By the time they headed home, they had covered the city's biggest highlights without feeling like they had to organise every little detail themselves.
