Chadar trek, through thrillophilia as a booking platform and the local operators, has to be one of the best experiences of my life till date! Wonderful support system uptill day 1 of the trek and then continuous on lnad support till the end was simply fantastic. I always come to leh alone and go back with a thousand things and this time was no different ! Chadar trek is hands down the most beautiful trek in india.thanks guys!
Chadder trek was my first trek with thrillophilia.
It was very professionally organised. All information about trek, requirements, arrangements, condition of the chadder was given well before the trek. Organisers were easily contactable. All doubts were cleared.
The local operater was nice. We met Mr Dorji in leh. His team was excellent. Arrangements in leh were very homely, food was great. Mr Dorji himself shared his experience which helped a lot during the trek. I would definitely recommend his team as the local operater.
This was one of the best trips ever!!! We had an amazing time on the trip. The views were so mesmerizing and captivating. The entire trip was so well planned and the co-travelers were also nice. The tour guide provided was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were also so good at all the places, the food provided was quite good. Thanks Thrillophilia for an amazing Leh Trip.
Best trip for my lyf nd unforgettable moments for my lyf for realiting this trip nd more supportive rizwan nd kavish bhai love u bhai log
This trip was something I'll always cherish. It was cold and windy, but it was amazing. I did some research before and decided to go with Thrillophilia and it was a good decision. I went to Leh a day before for I wanted to explore a few things. I stayed at a hostel very near to the market, met some of the returning trekkers, bought a few essentials and next day went to Stok village for the acclimatization. The entire acclimatization process was really critical as it helps your body get accustomed to the cold. And anyway I was more comfortable in the tent at night than at the hotel room. We stayed at Hotel Skittsal and did some local touring, one day being visit to a local kitchen, which was amazing. After the medicals we geared up for the trek. Even after doing so much research, I was thoroughly amazed by the beauty of Chadar. The formation that we saw when we were going forward was completely different from what we saw when we were coming back. The contour was constantly changing. We learnt a lot from our guide and the porters - as to why the Chadar breaks and reforms, how to identify thin ice, why thick is isn't always safe, how to skid on ice etc. I had a number of falls on the ice. But by the end, I became unbelievably comfortable skiing with my normal shoes. And the food that these guys prepared for us over there was unbelievable. Like one night we got gulabjamuns which surprised us so much! Our guide Stanzin was always diligent to ensure our safety and timings perfectly. We had a small team of 8 members - all from different backgrounds. Luckily we had a photo video blogger too traveling with us and so we made some cool photos. The last day of the trek was really memorable when all we could think of was a hot shower! Our stay, tents, porter team etc were all managed by the opeartor. The folks over there Tundup, Thupstan all were extremely helpful and jolly and would help you make the most of the time you spend there. Now some helpful pointers: 1. I would advise to carry your regular water resistant trek shoes and a good down jacket. Apart from that you can get everything at Leh Market at a very good price point. Feedback from some first timers who came with us: We should not have got all these pricy stuff from xyz store. All we used are only the local stuff only. Even though I agree with them, I feel you should get the shoes and down jacket from regular city stores. 2. You can avail bus commute for short distance travels. For example, you can take a bus to old leh bus stand from outside Leh Airport at only 10/-. Also lot of buses are there for different places. Just ask the locals or the driver. They are very helpful. 3. There are many fancy momo, thukpa places all around. Ask any local, where do you guys go for thukpa? and they might help you find mind blowing small joints serving delicious mutton momo and thukpa. Also advisable, to go to tea shops and see what others are having. For example, the guys order half fried egg with roti and dal with mirchi powder. Tastes awesome. 4. Lastly, please don't litter plastics over Chadar. The time we went over there, a new road is being constructed right beside. So next year onwards I guess there would be more people going over there. Request to all to carry your own plastics back to the city and dispose, and encourage others to do the same. So that few years down if you go back there you find it as beautiful as you left it. Julley!
This trek was a thrilling experience. The facilities provided by Thrillophilia made the trek more enjoyable. Sleeping bags provided were a big relief from the chilling temperatures. The trek guide was very helpful and professional and he made sure for the safety of each one of us. Potters were amazing , provided good and yummy food throughout the trek, they had good energy which kept our motivation and entertainment high. Over all it was a memorable and lifetime experience.
Over all experience mind blowing but improve certain areas like 2nd & 3rd days staying in tent is good but u hv 2 arrange some laggage center & wash room .. otherwise just amazing
If I give less than 5 stars I would be doing wrong to the good hospitality, a feeling of family during the entire trek the porters that fulfil each of your possible request that help you at each step, our Rizwan bhai always cool and helpful, our nice operator.
Kudos to the team and please keep the same going forward as well??
Julley !!!!!!!!!!! we have completed chadar2020. Though we three were beginners in our group , we were able to complete chadar trek succcessfully .we just booked two months before with no prior experience . For this two months we had researched, seen many photos on Google and was very excited to do this trek. we just wanted to Complete the trek so made our mindset accordingly. You need to be fit, Stay calm and be mentally strongly. Once we reached Leh, the shivering nights were horrible. I wanted to go back but every morning I convinced myself to stay and complete this task. That was my best decision, and experience the CHADAR TREK. Hats off to our guides (jimmy and lundup) and porters who took care of us during the trek. Hot lunch was served everyday during the trek . We had a tremendous group with amazing bunch of people. Mesmerizing snowfall mornings, warm sleeping bags for cozy night, clear starry nights and fantastic views.
All thanks to thrillophilia for giving us such an wonderful experience.
Chadar nai kiya toh kya kiya !!!!
Eight days of trekking in a not so friendly environment of the Ladakh mountains was an unforgettable experience. The trek itself is not very arduous, but the conditions are definitely challenging. The trek challenged my limits and I never knew that I could be push myself to such limits. This is one experience which I can brag about always! It is not every day, you get a chance to walk over a frozen river!
Thanks to thrillophilia for all the beautiful arrangements that I remember all my upcoming days.
Chadar Trek 2020 has been an incredible experience. A very unique hike, mainly because of the extreme weather. Excellent arrangements made by Thrillophilia to suit our needs. Utmost care has been taken to make sure that cold doesn’t affect us during the hike by providing good quality tents and hygienic nutritious food on time by Jimmy’s team... Rizwan and Salamat have been very responsive and friendly throughout.
I was planning for a solo trip to Ladakh and booked this tour. It was one of the best solo trips ever. Everything was very well arranged for the trip. The pickup was on time and I was joined by another group of girls for the tour. We had the most amazing guide with us. He was very informative and was giving us detailed information about each of the places. Our accommodation and food was provided in the package. I was glad that I went on this tour. The scenic beauties of this whole place will surly blow your mind. Each of these places had its own significance. The best part of the whole trip was our visit to the Pangong. I just couldn’t stop myself from staring at the amazing lake as it slowly changed it colours. As for our journey, it was a wonderful one without much hassle. And I tell you they have made the perfect arrangements for the ladies on this trip. Most of all it was a very safe trip without any difficulties at all. Loved it, will definitely visit again.
Chadar Trek: Once in a lifetime experience for sure….!!
Each day spent in Leh was so special. Experiencing the beauty of the city, the snowfall, the chilling sub-zero temperatures and the trail to the final summit, everything was uniquely mesmerizing. Loved the people around: the porters, organizers (Thupstan), my group and the trek lead. Haven’t seen people more helpful than them before.
Thanks to Thrillophilia!!
It's really a lifetime experience!!
I would love to start by saying that Chadar is a gateway to heaven. An experience you cannot forget ever. Spending days in the negative temp is something not everyone gets to experience. I am proud that I took this challenge for myself and completed it till the point it was open. I am grateful to Rizwan from Thrillophilia & Salamat (our operator) who briefed us on the first day and covered every minute things we need to take care of. Our porters and guide were the humblest souls who were always there for us during the trek. They were working so hard in the extreme conditions to make everything comfortable for us. We celebrated birthday of one of our trekmate too where our cooks on trek made a cake for him which was way more than what we expected. On the last day we did a bonfire party at the hotel with Rizwan and Kavish and shared some of the best moments of the trek. Thanks a lot Thrillophilia for giving us this experience.
Surreal. One of the most beautiful locations to trek on. Excellent support by our guide Tsetan, Tundup from Ladakh ride adventures and Kavish from Thrillophilia. Highly recommend for all adventure enthusiasts.
Chadar is not just a beautiful experience , it's also
' once in a lifetime experience ' . Starting with the nervousness ( little is good ) to be in Leh and on Chadar , to the completion of the trek , and back to celebrate your accomplishments - it is just ineffably beautiful.
Thrilophillia provided us with a brilliant package .The guides and porters and their hospitality was way more than what I had expected. One should just keep his/her expectations low and willpower high.
Challenging and rewarding, no other words are there for beauty of nature, Nature is always a unpredictable thing, but Thrillophilia made it possible to get acclimated in a very good way. Kudos to you Thrillophilia., few suggestions are already given to add more to.
Thanks for the wonderful experience. Kudos to the local guides and porters tooo.....
Leh Ladakh's location had everything that you dreamed about. It had ice (lots and lots of ice), even when I was sleeping battling the cold at night I was could see those ice sheet right in front of my eyes. but the most exciting part was that we were never complaining even under these extreme conditions. the food offered was very tasty. everything was perfectly planned by the thrillophilia team. Awesome experience !!
You will feel the true sense of the word FREEZE when you visit Pangong Tso. That said, the view you're experiencing is simply breathtaking. The sky and lake colors compliment each other absolutely. I saw so many shades of blue that day and the hue of the lake continued to change every hour. I think you might find the right words for a poet or writer to explain this phenomenon. Although no explanation is appropriate for this location, if you're fortunate enough, I'd suggest you'll have the chance to click with your camera on the ultimate images.
Most magnificent Indian Lake.. Any adventure & nature lover must once in a lifetime visit this place. I felt like I was entering a fantasy land when I saw the lake from a distance. The lake surrounded by mountains that look perfect looks like painted picture. This lake has different shades of colors. Blue sky, white snow and vivid water combine to make you forget everything. The lake is so serene, the water is so pure that you'd be afraid to touch it, so it could get polluted. The more you marvel at it the more it becomes beautiful.
