About Tanjung Puting National ParkTanjung puting National Park is quite famous for Orangutan Conservation. It is spread across 416 hectares that consist of Dryland dipterocarp forest, Peat swamp forest, Heath forest, Mangroves Coastal beach forest and also secondary forest.
Highlights: You can get an opportunity to see Clouded leopards, Civets, Malaysian sun bears Barking deer, Mouse deer, Sambar deer, and the wild cattle also known as Banteng. Tanjung Puting also takes cares of 200 species of birds that includes deep forest birds such as hornbills and also the highly endangered "dragon fish" popularly known as the Arowana. You can see flamboyant butterflies and moths around here all the time. Most visitors visiting Tanjung Puting National Park are interested only in proboscis monkeys.
