About Sphatik Shila
Popular for its scenic location and mythological significance, Sphatik Shila makes for one of the most iconic places to visit in Chitrakoot. Since Lord Ram and Goddess Sita spent a long time in Chitrakoot during their exile, the town is replete with places associated with them including Sphatik Shila.
This is thought to be the place where the couple used to relax and admire the beauty of Chitrakoot. The smooth rocks carrying the impression of Lord Rama’s foot is Sphatik Shila which means crystal stone.
The mesmerizing view and the soft noise of the river Mandakini can be enjoyed from here in the middle of raw nature.
