The beautiful Similan Islands Marine National Park lies 70km offshore from Phang-Nga Province. It's smooth granite islands are as impressive above the bright aqua water as below, topped with rainforest, edged with blindingly white beaches and fringed by coral reefs. Things to do: Similan beaches and dive sites get completely packed with day trippers. Ko Nang Yuan is a small island very close to Ko Tao. It is famous for its diving spots and its great snorkeling beach. Many day trippers come from the islands of Ko Tao, Ko Pha Ngan and Ko Samui, as well as from Surat Thani and Chumphon on the Thai mainland. Koh Nang Yuan consists of three small islands connected by a double sided white beach in the middle. On the middle island, which also is the smallest, you will find the Nang Yuan Dive Resort. It’s breathtakingly beautiful with blue-green waters and has a private feel to it. It’s really small and can only be explored by foot. Activities: Relaxation and water sports are probably two most popular things to do. Diving and snorkeling is popular, with many good diving sites such as Twin Peak, White Rock and Green Rock. Rock climbing, kayaking and canoeing are also rather common activities on this "three piece island".

Haad Rin can be divided into two sections, Haad Rin Nok the lively party beach and Haad Rin Nai, which has a quieter bohemian feel. The beach itself is one of the biggest on the island and it fills with sunbathers by day and party goers at night, visiting the many beach clubs and bars that Haad Rin is so famous for. Haad Rin Nai is only a short walk to the party beach, so it's an ideal place to stay, within walking distance to all the action but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Activities: Several boat trips takes you to waterfalls and beaches around the island. You can enjoy fishing trips and watersports such as sailing and diving, beach volleyball, beach football and of course sunbathing! There are also some great walks over the hills of the east coast to secluded beaches. This beach is known for its famous Full Moon Party. Location: Koh Phangan
