  • Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag is a town and seat of the Samdrup Jongkhar District in Bhutan. It is one of the 20 Dzongkhag which comprise Bhutan. Some of the dominant languages in the district include Nepali in the east and Tshangla (Sharchopkha) in the west and north.

    Highlights: Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag has a population mix which largely comprises of the Lhotshampas and in Bangtar. This is regarded as a quintessential economic center of the country where coal mining is an important activity leading which forms a vital part of the country’s economy.
