OLD ABERDEEN

Old Aberdeen is a major part of Scotland’s third largest city Aberdeen and has originated as a major tourist region. Previously this was a separate area of Badami which was later incorporated into the new Abedin. Quaint cobbled roads take the visitors back in time when Monks, scholars, travelers and traders settled around this area. 

Old Aberdeen is not just a religion but a community that still flaunts the history of Scotland which goes back to more than 1000 years. This was once an independent town before merging into Aberdeen in 1891, and it still perfectly maintains its beautiful history and intriguing architecture. The cobbled streets dating back to the medieval period and most of its buildings were developed in the 18th century onwards. Old Aberdeen is typically divided into three areas which are the area of Saint Machar’s Cathedral, the merchant area around the townhouse and the academic area around King's college.
