Maniharan Tunnel, located near Bhuban Hill outside Silchar in Assam, is a historic pilgrimage site and natural wonder that is full of myths and spirituality. This sandstone tunnel is said to have been walked through by Lord Krishna, as described in the Mahabharata, making it one of the best places to visit in Silchar. It goes through a peaceful shrine complex with temples for Krishna, Rama, Lakshmana, Hanuman, and Garuda.

The tunnel is about 5 km from the Bhuvan Mahadev Temple and is located above the holy Tribeni River. It is a beautiful place to visit because of the lush hills that surround it. It draws people in large numbers during the Holi, Shivratri, Baruni, and Diljatra festivals, when rituals and fairs make the place come alive.

Visitors can walk through the dimly lit passageway, look at old carvings, and enjoy views framed by trees. This makes it a great place for people who are interested in history, spirituality, or nature. The tunnel is also a gentle path for walking that connects temple circuits.
