About Borobudur TempleAlong with the Cambodia’s Angkor Wat and the Myanmar’s Bagan, the Borobudur Temple of Java makes the rest of the South East Asia a spectacular site. It is a 9th century Mahayana Buddhist temple that attracts tourists from far and near.
Highlights: Borobudur Temple comprises of six square, three circulars, nine stacked platforms and is towered by the central dome. It is adorned by 504 statues of Buddha and 2672 relief panels. The central dome is enveloped by 72 Buddha statues each of which are seated inside a perforated stupa. It is the largest Buddhist temple in the world.
