Comfortably doing a 6-day Rajasthan trip with two seniors without having to worry about a single trip aspect himself was something Sumedh didn’t expect, but it happened anyway.

As per Sumedh’s account, he was ready to face some logistical and pace-related challenges and wanted to prepare beforehand. But Naresh from Thrillophilia assured him in that very first phone call that all trip aspects would be planned around his parents’ and his comfort, and once on the trip, he’d be free to enjoy it entirely hassle-free.

What resulted was a seamless, smooth journey across Rajasthan, with a pace that the family decided on as per their comfort level and a support team who consistently ensured that no one felt overwhelmed by the trip’s movement.

It All Started with Jaipur

Their Toyota Etios with an experienced chauffeur was already waiting for them at the airport to be dropped off at their centrally located hotel.

Keeping in mind the travel fatigue, the team recommended only a half-day tour covering attractions which don't require much physical effort. The family did waste any time in following that up. After a short break, their first stop brought them to Hawa Mahal, whose honeycomb façade is still marked as a symbol of the grandeur of Rajasthan’s regal legacy.

Jantar Mantar, an observatory, and the City Palace were covered next, both easily accessible by older people and experience-based.

The day came to an end with a visit to the Govind Dev Ji Temple, a perfect way to ease the rhythm of Jaipur into the family.

Sumedh decided on a casual walk near the markets with his parents before retiring to their hotel room for an early night. By this time, all his apprehension had dissipated, leaving him excited for the days to come.

The next morning brought their guided sightseeing tour, which started with the Amer Fort. However, their admiration for its intricate architecture and the fascination about the royal celebrations that once took place within the same walls weren't just limited to just one fort.

It was soon followed up by Jaigarh Fort, home to one of the world’s biggest cannons, and Nahargarh Fort, whose pink-hued Jaipur landscape was something that even Sumedh’s camera couldn’t capture quite right.

With the coverage of Jal Mahal and the white-marbled Birla Temple, their day was wrapped by the evening.

For Parshuram and Priti, both over the age of 60, this trip went beyond just covering destinations they had been long planning to see. They felt like their itinerary saw them, their needs, their comfort, and their preferences instead of blindly guiding them through various destinations. And that alone justified the entire trip.

Ajmer’s Islamic Heritage on the Way to Pushkar

Surrounded by majestic hills and timeless beauty, they experienced the best of Rajasthan

Sumedh had already highlighted that he didn’t want to spend entire days in the car during transfers. Keeping this in mind, the team coordinated a day-trip route via Ajmer before reaching Pushkar for the overnight stay.

Home to Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the historic Adhai-Din-Ka Jhonpra, and the tranquil Ana Sagar Lake, Ajmer felt like navigating through a deep layer of Rajasthan’s cultural diversity.

It was only after they had reached their hotel in Pushkar by the evening that Sumedh realised how comfortable the route had felt. He was worried that a day trip might be too strenuous on his parents, but it seemed he had underestimated their driver.

In his Rajasthan review on Thrillophilia’s platform, Sumedh heartily mentioned how genuinely enjoyable that trip felt from the very start.

“The service provided by the driver was excellent. It was comforting and so was the guidance. Loved every moment from the trip.”

Their Pushkar sightseeing also concluded in the same way. With no fixed schedule to dictate them around, they took their time exploring the lively local market, visiting the Brahma Temple, and walking along the ghats of Pushkar Lake, basking in its silence and quietness that seemed to welcome them with open arms.

A Change of Rhythm, But One they Welcomed

A magical evening amidst Rajasthan's royal heritage

Udaipur, Sumedh realised as soon as they entered the city, had an entirely different rhythm altogether. It wasn’t that there weren’t tourists, but the environment was calmer, quieter, and more based in nature.

On the way to Udaipur, the family had already covered Nathdwara’s Shiva Statue visit and the Eklingji Temple, both deemed highly sacred by the locals.

After a short rest, the family set out for a light Udaipur tour as the evening rolled in. The gardens of Saheliyon-ki-Bari, washed in the soft golden light of the setting sun, the glittering waters of Fateh Sagar Lake, and a visit to the Under the Sun Aquarium concluded their first day there.

Witnessing the city in the evening, with the entirety of Udaipur washed golden and the streetlights twinkling to life, changed everything he thought he knew about the city.

The Trip’s End and Thrillophilia Guidance Throughout

With local sightseeing covering City Palace, Lake Pichola, and the Crystal Gallery in the palace, the family’s Rajasthan trip came to an end with a final boat ride in the evening, cruising through the lake, and a later stroll amidst the local markets.

When recounting the trip, Sumedh’s Rajasthan review on Thrillophilia’s platform said, “Would love to plan a trip again!

It wasn’t just that Thrillophilia planned a seamless and comfortable journey for a family so initially apprehensive about travelling with seniors, but that they instilled enough trust in them for them to want to come back for yet another trip.

All availability checks, route mapping, consistent health and comfort monitoring, and itinerary fine-tuning were relentlessly done by both the planning and execution teams, and every second was worth it.
