Package Booked: All-in-One New Zealand Tour

The wait for Shrabanti Paul’s long-awaited international journey had been long, due to the anticipation built up from the moment of booking. However, somewhere between the joy of planning her first international trip and packing, apprehension began to set in. Shrabanti was traveling to New Zealand along with her husband, Neelabh, and spending nine nights in a foreign land where both of them have never traveled to before.

All her queries were answered by Thrillophilia prior to her journey, and it was only when she left for New Zealand that the second thoughts left space for something else. All her concerns that went along in her luggage never returned back home.

The Team That Made Her Stop Worrying

Before they even packed their bags, Shrabanti reached out to Thrillophilia with her concerns. The team walked her through every detail, transfers, timings, activity bookings, and what each day would look like on the ground. It was not a rushed conversation.

Everything that could be answered was, and everything that she worried about was addressed. Before the couple even arrived in Auckland and realized that there would be a private SUV waiting for them at the airport, her background buzz of worry had already begun to quiet down.

That first evening in Auckland, they checked into a comfortable suite with breakfast included, and felt like the trip was exhaling. It was a small thing, but after a long-haul flight to a new country, a room that is exactly as promised is quietly everything.

The Day Hobbiton Made Them Forget to Be Tourists

On their second day in New Zealand, they toured Hobbiton, a place situated between Matamata and Rotorua. Hobbiton is an experience that could never be encapsulated in any photo. Being able to see the vegetation, small circular doors, and flower beds all made by hand was incredible.

Shrabanti and Neelabh paused at the famed red door, laughing a little and confused at the same time, thinking whether they were actually in New Zealand or had somehow landed themselves in a fictional world. Their moments from this place will always be cherished, more for their happiness than anything else.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves arrived on the very same day to offer an entirely new experience. Gliding around the cave with absolute silence and millions of glowworms lighting up the ceiling above is something that lingers just because there isn’t any photo in the world that can capture that experience.

The next two days were spent at Rotorua. The geothermal landscapes and the haka performance offered by Te Puia were much more impressive than the travelers could have ever expected. The Redwoods Treewalk later that day offered the kind of beauty that comes with walking across suspended pathways between towering trees as the sky turned dark. Day Three already offered them more than what they had expected from their trip.

Nobody Warned Them How Much They Would Love Queenstown

Queenstown has its own energy the moment they land. Lake Wakatipu, the mountains, the town that seems built entirely around doing more than they planned. The Milford Sound cruise was the kind of day that earns its place without trying.

Mitre Peak rising out of the water, Stirling Falls cutting down the cliffside, a picnic lunch on the boat with that landscape all around them. For long stretches neither of them said much, and that silence was the comfortable kind that only happens when both people are genuinely glad to be exactly where they are.

The next day brought the Skyline Gondola, three luge rides that got competitive fast, and the Shotover Jet Boat, thirty minutes of sharp turns through canyon walls that they spent half-screaming through and immediately wanted to do again.

The Night the Sky Stopped Them Mid-Sentence

Lake Tekapo and the Aoraki Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve stargazing tour was not something either of them had fully prepared for emotionally. Standing under one of the clearest skies in the world, on their first trip abroad together, looking at galaxies through a telescope while an expert quietly explained what they were seeing.

It is the kind of moment that does not need any added meaning because it already has enough. Christchurch and the International Antarctic Centre wrapped the trip up on a high note before the drive to the airport and the flight home.

The Reason She Is Already Planning the Next One

"We had a perfectly planned trip to New Zealand via Thrillophilia. All the stays were excellent and everything was planned and booked perfectly." This statement from Shrabanti says it all. For two people who had been eagerly waiting for this trip abroad for so long, that kind of experience does not just make for a good trip. It makes you trust the process enough to do it all over again. Shrabanti came back already thinking about the next booking with Thrillophilia, and that says everything.
