The trip started as Mohit and Deepansha arrived at the Srinagar airport, where Mr. Dawood and their driver met them to begin their week. After checking into their hotel, the couple went out to explore Srinagar, walking through the green stepped lawns of the Mughal Gardens and looking out over the city from Pari Mahal. The next day, a day trip took them to Sonmarg. Walking near the cold river with tall trees and hills all around, the two enjoyed the quiet space away from city noise.

The third morning brought a fun visit to Gulmarg, a place famous for wide open hills and mountain air. Taking the Gondola cable car high up into the hills gave Mohit and Deepansha a great view of the white peaks. Sitting together at the top, they took photos, drank hot tea, and enjoyed the cool air. Mr. Dawood made sure they had enough time to walk around and see the sights without feeling rushed by a crowd or a tight clock.

Heading back to Srinagar on the fifth day, the couple enjoyed a classic Kashmir activity with a Shikara boat ride on Dal Lake. Moving slowly past floating markets and wooden houseboats as the sun went down behind the hills, they felt completely peaceful.
