“This was our first international trip, though we have planned domestic trips with Thrillophilia, so we found it more trustworthy to plan an international trip with them only. We enjoyed it a lot, and everything was very smooth and comfortable.”

For Anurag Soni and his partner, Europe was not just another holiday. It was their first international trip, which meant there was plenty to figure out: a new country, unfamiliar cities, international transfers, sightseeing, hotels, and an itinerary that had to work without becoming overwhelming.

Having already travelled domestically with Thrillophilia, they decided to put their first European adventure in the same hands. Over eight days, they travelled through Amsterdam, Brussels, Bruges, and Paris, combining guided sightseeing with leisure time and ending the trip with a full day at Disneyland Paris.

The result was a journey that mixed Europe's most recognisable sights with the kind of experiences that make a first international holiday memorable, from Dutch windmills and Belgian medieval streets to Parisian landmarks, a Seine cruise, and a day spent inside the magical world of Disney.

Amsterdam: Windmills, Canals and a Taste of the Netherlands

A beautiful Europe moment, with serene gardens, grand views

Their European adventure began in Amsterdam, but the first full day quickly took them beyond the city's famous canals. The couple travelled to Zaanse Schans, where traditional windmills, wooden houses, canals, and green countryside created the classic Dutch landscape they had come to see. From there, they continued to Volendam, a picturesque fishing village on the shores of the IJsselmeer.

The journey then took them by boat towards Marken, a former island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Its traditional houses and quiet village setting offered a completely different atmosphere from Amsterdam's busy streets. Back in the capital, they explored the city's narrow canals, parks, and official buildings on a panoramic city tour and also experienced a diamond cutting demonstration, one of Amsterdam's long standing attractions.

The evening gave them time around Rembrandtplein, a lively area filled with restaurants and cafés. It was a strong start to their first international holiday, with one day combining countryside, villages, canals, local craftsmanship, and Amsterdam's energetic city centre.

Brussels, Bruges and the Journey to Paris

The next stage took them from the Netherlands into Belgium, where the character of the trip changed almost immediately. In Brussels, they explored the magnificent Grand Place, surrounded by ornate historic buildings, and stopped at the Atomium, one of the city's most recognisable modern landmarks.

But Brussels was only part of the day's adventure. The couple continued to Bruges, often described as the Venice of the North because of its canals, bridges, and remarkably preserved medieval architecture. The historic centre offered cobbled streets, old buildings, waterways, and a slower pace before they continued their journey into France.

By the end of the day, they had crossed from the Netherlands through Belgium and arrived in Paris. That transition itself became part of the experience, moving between three European countries in a single day and watching the scenery and architecture change along the way.

Paris: Eiffel Tower Views, Seine and the Heart of the City

A memorable Paris getaway filled with smiles, beautiful views and a magical Eiffel Tower moment

Paris gave the couple several days to explore rather than simply passing through. Their guided city tour introduced them to the city's grand boulevards, historic monuments, and famous neighbourhoods before taking them to the Eiffel Tower. They climbed to the second floor of the iconic landmark, where Paris opened out beneath them.

The experience continued from land to water with a Seine River cruise. Floating along the river gave them another perspective of the city, passing historic architecture and landmarks while the banks of Paris unfolded on either side. They also had free time to explore the Latin Quarter, one of the city's most historic neighbourhoods, with its restaurants, cafés, and lively streets.

Another day was deliberately left open. Instead of filling every hour with organised sightseeing, the couple had time around the Louvre Museum area and could explore Paris according to their own interests. That breathing room was particularly useful during a first international trip, allowing them to experience the city without feeling like they were racing from one attraction to another.

Disneyland Paris: The Big Finale

A magical Paris getaway filled with fairytale charm, joyful moments

Then came the day that turned the Paris portion of the trip into something completely different: Disneyland Paris.

The couple travelled to the park on a dedicated Disneyland themed shuttle after meeting at one of the designated central Paris pick up points. Once inside, they could explore the different themed areas and attractions, from Fantasyland and its fairytale atmosphere to Adventureland, where attractions inspired by Indiana Jones and Aladdin awaited.

The park also brought classic Disney experiences to the trip, including Cinderella's Castle, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, and rides such as Big Thunder Mountain. After spending the day moving between attractions and exploring the park, they returned to Paris with one of the most memorable experiences of their first international holiday.

What worked particularly well was the balance around it. Disneyland was given an entire day rather than squeezed between other sightseeing, while another leisure day allowed them to slow down before their departure.

Why Anurag Trusted Thrillophilia for His First International Trip to Europe

Planning a first international holiday can feel very different from planning a domestic getaway. There are more moving parts, from international transfers and hotel check ins to sightseeing schedules, local guides, transportation, and making sure every service matches what was promised. For Anurag, however, there was already one important thing working in Thrillophilia's favour: he had travelled with the company before.

Having used Thrillophilia for domestic trips, he already knew what to expect from the planning and support. That familiarity made it easier to trust the team with something much bigger. As he put it, “We have planned domestic trips with Thrillophilia, so we found it more trustworthy to plan an international trip with them only.” Laveena Motiyani, Thrillophilia's destination expert, helped put together the European itinerary, ensuring the couple had a clear plan covering their stays, sightseeing, transfers, and experiences across the trip.

The Europe experience lived up to that trust. Anurag appreciated that the itinerary was clearly communicated, the services matched the plan, and the tour guides throughout the journey were excellent. With the practical details taken care of, he and his partner could concentrate on exploring Amsterdam, Brussels, Bruges, and Paris rather than worrying about how everything would come together.

At Thrillophilia, some of our favourite travellers are the ones who come back to us for their next adventure. Anurag's journey is a great example of why that trust matters. A domestic holiday became the reason he chose Thrillophilia for his first international trip, and a smooth European experience left him ready to recommend the same journey to others.

“We recommend Thrillophilia to everyone for smooth Europe trips. Big thumbs up.”
