Dr. Samrath Manjunath from Bengaluru had a very clear message when we asked him how. "I think you guys should blindly trust them because they absolutely know what they're doing."
That kind of confidence does not come from a trip that was merely fine. It comes from a honeymoon in Mauritius that went exactly right, from the first day to the last, and left both of them already thinking about the next one.
The couple had gotten married a few months before the trip, and they planned the honeymoon with Thrillophilia. By the end of six days at Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa, Samrath was ready to make it official. "Whatever future journeys we're going to plan, I think it's going to be Thrillophilia. It has been an amazing thing knowing them, and trust me, they're going to be my future booking partners for all of my journeys."
Here’s how the trip unfolded for the couple.
Samrath & Gauri’s Mauritius Escape: Moments Worth Remembering
Arriving at Outrigger Mauritius
They landed at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport and were transferred by coach to Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa, their home for the next five nights. Outrigger sits on the southeastern coast of the island, a proper luxury resort with the kind of setting that immediately tells you the honeymoon is off to a good start.
The first evening was entirely at leisure, which is exactly the right way to begin a trip like this. Settle in, explore the resort, walk down to the beach, and just enjoy the feeling of being in Mauritius before the days get busier.
North Mauritius and South Mauritius

Day two was a full eight-hour north tour, and the north of Mauritius has a particular kind of drama to it. Cap Malheureux at the very tip of the island, the red-roofed church sitting against the blue of the ocean, the smaller islands visible on the horizon.
They also saw the Giant Water Lily Park, the Hindu temples, the sugarcane roads. For a couple on a honeymoon, the north tour is the kind of day that gives you stories to remember for a lifetime.
Day three was the south tour, and the south is a completely different side of Mauritius. The Black River Gorges National Park with its native forest, Chamarel with the seven coloured earth and the waterfall, and the coastline getting more rugged and dramatic the further south you go. Six hours of it, and coming back to Outrigger in the evening after a day in the wild south of the island with dinner at the resort felt like the perfect balance between adventure and luxury.
Ile Aux Cerfs: The Day That Always Wins
Day four was Ile Aux Cerfs by speedboat, and this is the one that every Mauritius itinerary builds toward. The lagoon at Ile Aux Cerfs is extraordinary, the kind of turquoise shallow water that you can spend hours in without noticing the time passing.
For a honeymoon couple, a full day on a beautiful island surrounded by that water, with nothing to do except enjoy each other's company and the surroundings, is about as good as it gets. Six hours on and around the island, and the speedboat ride back across the lagoon in the afternoon was a very satisfying end to the trip's most memorable day.
A Leisure Day Done Properly

Day five was free, and Mauritius has plenty of ways to fill a leisure day for a couple who want to explore beyond the resort. The Mauritius Postal Museum for something cultural and unexpected. Bel Ombre Nature Reserve for a walk through dense forest and past tranquil lakes. Bras D'Eau National Park for wildlife. For some, leisure can mean simply roaming in the resort, the beach, the pool, and a long Mauritian dinner in the evening and for Samart and Gauri it meant just enjoying each other’s company and taking the day at their pace.
Why The Couple Loved Travelling with Thrillophilia
Samrath did not leave much unsaid in his review. "It was an amazing experience and an unforgettable journey that we had." For a honeymoon, that is the benchmark. Not a good trip. An unforgettable one.
The confidence he expressed in Thrillophilia was specific and genuine. "They absolutely know what they're doing." For a couple planning their first major trip together as a married pair, that kind of trust matters enormously. A honeymoon is not a trip where you want to be managing logistics or chasing down confirmations. You want to show up, be taken care of, and focus entirely on the experience. That is clearly what happened here.
Outrigger Mauritius as a resort choice for a honeymoon was exactly right. A luxury property on a quieter part of the island, full board across five nights so food was never a decision to make, and a base comfortable enough that the leisure day and the evenings after tours felt genuinely restful.
"Job well done," Samrath said at the end of his review. And then: "Thank you so much, Thrillophilia."
