When you travel with your mother, that trip stays with you and her for a lifetime, and this is the story of Shromona and her mother, who took a 6-day trip to Kerala.

More than sightseeing, Shromona’s priority was ensuring that her mother could travel comfortably without being exhausted by uncomfortable transfers, confusing logistics, or constantly shifting plans. The following day was equally comfortable as they explored Munnar's celebrated landscapes. Leaving Munnar behind, Shromona and Gita travelled towards Alleppey, watching Kerala’s landscape gradually transform from rolling tea plantations to tranquil canals lined with coconut palms. Upon their arrival, they checked into their deluxe houseboat, where the pace of the journey slowed even further.

Drifting through Alleppey’s famous backwaters, surrounded by village life, paddy fields, and interconnected waterways, offered a side of Kerala that was unexpected. Later, exploring Varkala's dramatic cliffside coastline offered a completely different atmosphere from Alleppey's backwaters, with sweeping views of the Arabian Sea, lively cafés, and the unique red laterite cliffs that make the destination one of Kerala's most recognisable beach towns. They ended the day at Clafouti Beach Resort, where the coastal setting provided a restful overnight stay before the final leg of their journey. 

Their journey then continued to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala's historic capital, where sightseeing revealed another dimension of the state through its blend of heritage, temples, and urban culture. Instead of feeling like a rushed city stop, the visit was paced to allow both mother and daughter to comfortably explore before settling into their hotel for the night.
