Some trips aren’t done simply to cover a destination but used as a chance to bond. That was exactly what the 4-day trip to Kerala meant for Srinivas, Pavani, and their 3-year-old daughter, Krithiksha.

Travelling with a 3-year-old for 4 days across Kerala posed some concerns for Srinivas. He knew Kerala was diverse across its regions with considerable travelling time between each. Covering the ones that’d suit him best and planning a route that’d make the most of the short duration without exhausting them was something he didn’t quite know how to figure out.

But he wasn’t worried. Not really. Because he had already decided to make the call to Thrillophilia based on multiple traveller reviews online and his friends’ recommendation.

Right off the bat, Aakash, their destination expert, focused on the route mapping. Since Srinivas wanted a leisure-first tour, Munnar was the first easy choice. Alleppey soon followed as the other destination for Kerala due to the ease of connectivity and the easy transition from Munnar itself with Kochi as the arrival/departure city.

Seeing his itinerary come together with logistics that he was consistently updated on and a team who moulded it entirely to his and his family’s preferences, Srinivas knew he trusted the right people for the job.

A Scenic Drive into Kerala's Tea Country

Together, they embraced Kerala's beauty

Right after arriving in Kochi, Srinivas found their private vehicle already waiting to take them to their accommodation in Munnar, which, as the team had already briefed him, was located in proximity to transfer hubs and nearby markets for easy accessibility to staple needs, seeing how they travelled with a toddler.

Travelling in a dedicated sedan made the journey especially convenient for a young family, allowing them to travel at a relaxed pace while enjoying the changing landscapes from Kerala's coastal plains to the mist-covered hills of the Western Ghats.

The scenic drive itself became an integral part of the experience. En route, the family stopped at picturesque waterfalls, sprawling spice plantations, and panoramic viewpoints that offered an introduction to Munnar's renowned tea-growing region. These carefully planned breaks made the long drive enjoyable, particularly with a toddler, ensuring there was ample opportunity to stretch, admire the scenery, and capture memorable family photographs.

Upon arrival, they checked into Amuse Vista Resorts and Spa, nestled amidst Munnar's rolling hills and lush greenery. The peaceful surroundings provided the perfect setting to unwind after the journey while offering easy access to the region's attractions over the following days.

Tea Gardens, Backwaters & Thoughtful Family Moments

Srinivas and family enjoyed Kerala's backwaters

The next day gave the Lakshmivarapu family a deeper appreciation of Kerala’s diverse landscapes. Their full-day Munnar sightseeing tour covered some of the hill station’s best-known attractions, including Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Eravikulam National Park, Pullu Medu Elephant View Point, Yellapatty Grasslands, and Carmelagiri Elephant Park. Although there were a lot of destinations to cover, the family never felt the weight of the travelling due to the dedicated sedan allocated to them.

They set their own pace and took their time at destinations however they saw fit. For a family travelling with a toddler, having them control their own pace according to their limitations was a detail that many would’ve escaped, but not Srinivas.

From Misty Hills to Kerala's Backwaters

Kerala became the backdrop to cherished memories

Leaving the cool tea-covered slopes of Munnar behind, Srinivas Lakshmivarapu, Pavani Kanjuluri, and little Krithiksha journeyed towards Alleppey, witnessing Kerala's landscapes gradually transform into coconut groves, canals, and palm-fringed waterways. The comfortable private sedan transfer ensured an easy drive for the family, with the route paced well enough to keep the journey relaxed, especially while travelling with a young child.

Upon arrival, they explored some of Alleppey's defining landmarks, beginning with Alleppey Beach, where the Arabian Sea and the town's laid-back atmosphere offered a striking contrast to Munnar's hill country. A visit to the historic Alleppey Lighthouse provided insights into the town's maritime legacy, while the Mullakkal Rajarajeswari Temple, one of the region's most revered temples, introduced them to Alleppey's rich cultural traditions. Although compact, the sightseeing covered the town's key experiences without making the day feel rushed.

The family later checked into Haven Alleppey Beach Villa, whose location close to the coastline complemented the destination perfectly.

Pavani couldn’t help but notice how small touches in the itinerary reflected thoughtful planning throughout the day. The sightseeing was intentionally kept lighter after the intercity transfer; hotel check-in timings aligned comfortably with their arrival, and the route ensured minimal unnecessary travel within the town.

This was everything Srinivas had envisioned for his family trip, and it was exactly what he experienced the last three days.

The Trip’s End and Thrillophilia’s Consistency

The return drive to Kochi offered one last glimpse of Kerala's tranquil backwaters, swaying coconut palms, and village life, providing a fitting conclusion to a journey that had seamlessly connected misty hill stations with the state's scenic coastline.

Throughout the four-day holiday, the itinerary reflected careful attention to practical travel details. Comfortable private transfers, realistically paced sightseeing, family-friendly accommodation, and well-planned travel durations ensured the experience remained enjoyable for both adults and their young daughter.

Pavani’ Kerala review on Thrillophilia’s platform said few words but conveyed a mountain of thoughts.

“Trip schedule was good.”

For an individual who was thoroughly concerned about the schedule being too rushed or dragged or not covering enough, this review from him meant he was satisfied with what the team relentlessly worked towards for him. And that went beyond all other minute detailing the team had curated in the trip logistics itself for ease of movement and a seamless itinerary flow.

It was perfect for the Lakshmivarapu family.
