When Nikhil returned from Kashmir, the first people he thanked were Angelina Freda Smith and Priti Borah.

"It was a great experience with Thrillophilia," he shared later. "I would like to especially thank Angelina Freda Smith and our coordinator, Priti Borah, for making our trip excellent."

The appreciation came after six days spent exploring some of the valley's most beautiful landscapes. Travelling with his partner, Nikhil experienced Kashmir through mountain valleys, peaceful lakes, scenic drives, famous gardens, and some of the region's most celebrated attractions. What began as a holiday quickly turned into a journey filled with memorable views and experiences across Pahalgam, Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Sonmarg.

Planned by Mohit Gupta and supported on the ground by Angelina Smith, the trip allowed the couple to focus on the destination while the arrangements unfolded smoothly in the background.

Dal Lake, Floating Markets, and a Night on the Water

A Shikara ride on Dal Lake brought some of the most memorable moments of Nikhil and his partner's journey in Kashmir.

They stepped into the beautifully decorated wooden boat as it gently pulled away from the shore, leaving behind the bustle of the city. The lake revealed a different side of Srinagar altogether. Traditional houseboats floated peacefully on the water, local vendors navigated narrow wooden boats filled with flowers, handicrafts, and snacks, and the floating market added a charm that felt uniquely Kashmiri. As they drifted across the lake, the surrounding mountains reflected softly on the water while the evening sky gradually changed colours. During the ride, they also enjoyed a warm cup of traditional Kashmiri Kahwa served by one of the local Shikara vendors, adding an authentic touch to an already memorable evening on the water.

A few days later, they returned for an overnight stay aboard a traditional Kashmiri houseboat. Watching the lights shimmer across the water after sunset and waking up to the calm atmosphere of the lake offered a completely different perspective of Srinagar. Together, the Shikara ride and houseboat stay became some of the most memorable experiences of the trip.

The View from the Gulmarg Gondola

The journey to Gulmarg brought a completely different kind of excitement.

Nikhil and his partner boarded the 2nd-highest gondola in the world and watched the landscape transform beneath them as they climbed higher into the mountains. The green meadows below slowly gave way to snow-covered slopes, while the surrounding peaks appeared closer and more dramatic with every passing minute. The higher they travelled, the wider the views became, revealing vast stretches of the Kashmir Valley framed by the Himalayas.

After taking in the spectacular views from the gondola, Nikhil and his partner spent time exploring another side of Gulmarg's charm. The snow-covered slopes were dotted with visitors trying skiing and snowboarding, adding an adventurous spirit to the landscape. Watching skiers glide across the mountains against a backdrop of towering peaks made the destination feel lively and exciting. They also visited the famous Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest and largest golf courses in India. Spread across vast rolling meadows and framed by mountain views in every direction, the course added yet another unique experience to a destination already known for its breathtaking scenery.

Pony Trails, Glaciers, and the Landscapes of Sonmarg

Nikhil and his partner embraced the magic of Kashmir together

Sonmarg introduced them to yet another side of Kashmir.

The drive itself was spectacular, with rivers flowing alongside the road, mountain peaks rising in the distance, and meadows stretching across the valley floor. Every few kilometres seemed to reveal a different view, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination.

Once there, they set out on a pony ride towards Thajiwas Glacier. The route took them through stunning mountain scenery where patches of snow contrasted beautifully against green meadows and rocky slopes. As they moved higher, the views became even more dramatic, with glacial streams, distant peaks, and open valleys creating a landscape that felt vast and untouched.

They also spent time exploring the grasslands of Baltal, where the scenery seemed to stretch endlessly in every direction. Surrounded by towering mountains and fresh alpine air, they found themselves slowing down to take in the views around them.

Why Nikhil Chose Thrillophilia for Kashmir

Behind every smooth multi-destination trip lies a significant amount of planning.

Over six days, Nikhil and his partner travelled between valleys, cities, lakes, and mountain destinations without having to worry about hotel arrangements, transfers, or day-to-day coordination. The itinerary flowed naturally from one destination to the next, allowing them to focus entirely on the experience.

Looking back, that seamless execution was one of the reasons the trip stood out.

As Nikhil shared:

"It was a great experience with Thrillophilia. I would like to especially thank Angelina Freda Smith and our coordinator, Priti Borah, for making our trip excellent. I will suggest Thrillophilia for booking to make your trip thrilling and enjoyable."

Supported by Mohit Gupta during the planning stage and assisted throughout the journey by Angelina Smith and the on-ground team, the trip brought together many of the experiences that make Kashmir unforgettable: scenic valleys, iconic attractions, mountain adventures, peaceful lake experiences, and the comfort of knowing every detail had already been taken care of.

For Nikhil and his partner, it became six days of discovering why Kashmir continues to earn its reputation as Paradise on Earth.
