For Saksham Sharma and his wife, Europe was not just another destination on their travel list. It was their honeymoon, their first trip to Europe, and a journey through three countries they had only seen in photographs until then.

They wanted to experience the streets of Rome, see Venice from its canals, spend time among the Swiss Alps, and finally stand beneath the Eiffel Tower together.

But planning a 10-day international trip across Italy, Switzerland, and France was not something they wanted to handle alone.

There were hotels in different cities, intercity transfers, sightseeing plans, visa formalities, and several experiences to coordinate. Since it was their first European holiday, having someone manage these details mattered to them.

That is when they booked their France Switzerland Italy tour with Thrillophilia.

Starting Their Honeymoon in Rome

The couple explored Europe's charming canals

Saksham and his wife arrived in Rome on 17 December.

Their first evening was intentionally kept easy. After arriving at the hotel and settling in, they headed to the Via Cavour district.

Walking through the streets, looking for a place to eat, and getting their first feel of Italy gave them time to settle into the journey before the sightseeing began.

The next morning introduced them properly to Rome.

They explored the city with a guided tour, visited St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, and walked through the historic surroundings of the Imperial Forums.

By evening, they were in Trastevere.

The narrow cobbled streets, small restaurants, local shops, and lively atmosphere offered a completely different side of Rome.

For a couple experiencing Europe for the first time, it was a memorable beginning.

Florence Felt Like Walking Through an Open-Air Museum

Europe brought out her adventurous side

On the third day, they left Rome and travelled north towards Florence.

The journey itself became part of the experience as the landscape changed along the way.

Their first stop in Florence was Piazzale Michelangelo, where they saw the city from above.

Later, accompanied by a local expert, they walked through the historic centre and explored places such as Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria.

Instead of rushing from one attraction to another, they also had some free time to explore the streets at their own pace.

It was one of those days where simply walking around the city became as memorable as visiting its famous landmarks.

Venice Was Completely Different From Everything Before It

A beautiful ending to their Europe adventure

The next morning, Saksham and his wife travelled towards Venice.

They crossed the Giudecca Canal by boat before reaching the island city.

Walking through St. Mark’s Square, visiting St. Mark’s Basilica, and watching artisans demonstrate the traditional process of making Murano glass gave them a closer look at the city's culture.

There was also time to explore Venice independently.

By this point, the couple had travelled through three major Italian cities in four days, yet each destination had offered them a completely different experience.

Entering the Alps

Leaving Venice, the journey continued towards Austria.

They stopped in Innsbruck before travelling through the Tyrolean landscapes towards Switzerland.

Snow-covered mountains, lakes, and Alpine scenery gradually replaced the historic cities they had explored earlier.

By evening, they reached Zurich.

The next day became one of the most scenic parts of their honeymoon.

They travelled through the Interlaken region before reaching Grindelwald.

From there, a cable car took them higher into the mountains.

Walking along the mountain trail, seeing glaciers in the distance, and crossing the suspended bridge surrounded by Alpine scenery became one of the standout experiences of their journey.

Lunch in the mountains was followed by a visit to Lucerne before they returned to Zurich.

In his review after the trip, Saksham mentioned that he would have liked Mount Titlis to be part of the itinerary as well. It was one experience he felt could have made the Switzerland leg even better.

Still, the buses, hotels, group experience, and overall organisation left a strong impression on the couple.

A Short Stop in Bern Before Paris

Snowfall made their Europe trip unforgettable

The following morning, Saksham and his wife left Zurich and travelled to Bern.

They spent time exploring Switzerland’s capital and walking through its well-preserved Old Town before continuing towards France.

By evening, they had reached Paris.

After several days of changing cities and countries, the final part of their honeymoon was about experiencing one of the world's most visited cities.

Christmas Eve in Paris

Their first full day in Paris fell on Christmas Eve.

The morning began with a visit to Versailles before they returned to the city and travelled to Montmartre.

A funicular ride took them up the hill, where they could see Paris from above and spend time exploring the neighbourhood known for its artists and cafés.

Later, a guided city tour introduced them to Paris’s major boulevards, monuments, and landmarks.

The timing made the experience even more memorable.

Spending Christmas Eve together in Paris was something neither of them was likely to forget.

Christmas Day at the Eiffel Tower

The ninth day of their journey was Christmas Day.

They travelled to the Eiffel Tower and went up to the second floor.

For a couple who had started their honeymoon nine days earlier in Rome, standing together above Paris felt like a fitting final chapter to the trip.

Later, they boarded a boat for a cruise along the River Seine.

The afternoon was kept free, allowing them to explore Paris on their own before returning to the hotel.

The next morning, after breakfast, their 10-day European journey came to an end.

How Thrillophilia Helped Manage Their First Europe Trip

Travelling through Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and France within ten days involved several moving parts.

Thrillophilia helped coordinate their accommodation for nine nights, daily breakfast, intercity transfers, airport transfers, guided city tours, attraction tickets, selected experiences, travel insurance, and visa assistance.

Visa support was particularly important because this was Saksham and his wife’s first trip to Europe.

The itinerary also balanced guided sightseeing with free time. They could visit major attractions with planned arrangements while still getting opportunities to explore cities like Florence, Venice, Zurich, and Paris independently.

Saksham specifically appreciated the quality of the buses and hotels during the journey.

He also mentioned the support provided by Jatin from the Thrillophilia team, who remained available to help even during his off hours.

That support mattered during a multi-country international trip where travellers may need help outside regular working hours.

What Saksham Said After the Trip

After returning from Europe, Saksham rated the experience 5 out of 5.

He shared:

“Thrillophilia did a good job in organizing Europe tour with mostly all places covered. It was a great experience and the group was nice. Though it was a short trip but if Mt Titlis was covered, it would have become even better. Buses were good, hotels were great and overall experience is just awesome. Thanks to Thrillophilia staff especially Jatin for supporting even during his off hours.”

His review reflected both sides of the experience.

He appreciated the hotels, transportation, group atmosphere, trip organisation, and team support while also pointing out that including Mount Titlis would have improved the itinerary further.

Ten Days, Three Countries, and Their First European Memories Together

Saksham and his wife returned home after travelling through Rome, Florence, Venice, Innsbruck, Zurich, Grindelwald, Lucerne, Bern, and Paris.

They had walked through centuries-old Italian streets, travelled across the Alps, spent Christmas Eve exploring Paris, and celebrated Christmas Day at the Eiffel Tower.

More importantly, they experienced their first European holiday together without having to manage every hotel, transfer, sightseeing ticket, and intercity journey on their own.

The trip may have lasted only ten days, but it gave them something much bigger to take home: the memories of beginning their married life with a journey across Europe.
