Skyview Stockholm Overview

SkyView Stockholm is a world-class attraction at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The world’s largest spherical building, Avicii Arena, is originally called Stockholm Globe Arena and earlier as Ericsson Globe. 

The SkyView is comprised of two glass gondolas with a maximum load capacity of 1,200 kg, which can carry up to 16 passengers. You can take the 15-minute ride, which will offer panoramic views of the city of Stockholm. The ride takes you to the top of the Avicii Arena at a height of 130 metres (425 feet). There are two rails outside the Avicii Arena that take you to the top by gondolas.

How To Reach

By Car: 

Avicii Arena is approximately 6.4 km from the city centre of Stockholm, Sweden, via Söderledstunneln. You can reach the attraction in 10 minutes by booking a cab. 

By Bus: 

You can take bus 195 from the Stockholm Karl Xii:S Torg to Slakthuset (Globen). The bus takes around 16 minutes to reach and operates 4 times daily. Further, you can reach the attraction from the bus station within a 7-minute walk.

By Subway: 

You can take subway 19 from T-Centralen T-Bana to Skärmarbrink T-Bana. The subway takes around 10 minutes to reach and runs every 15 minutes. Further, you can reach the attraction from the subway station with a 5-minute walk.

The best season to visit Sky Stockholm is during the summer season, from June to August, because this season offers a clear view of the city.

The best day in the week to visit Sky Stockholm is on the weekdays, as weekends can be very crowded. 

Best time of the day:

The best time of the day to visit Sky Stockholm is during the early mornings to avoid the crowds and long queues. Moreover, the opening hours from Monday to Friday are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays, it’s 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Witness the architecture of the world’s largest spherical building, Avicii Arena, built in 1989. It is an indoor arena that was earlier known as Ericsson Globe and originally as Stockholm Globe Arena. 

The steel, concrete, and glass structure was designed by architect Berg Arkitektkontor AB and supported by a MERO space structure. The building represents the Sun in the Sweden Solar System, which is the largest scale model of the Solar System in the world.
