It is an iconic tower which was built in 1995 and opened to the public in 1996. This 421-metre tall tower includes 6 storeys and boasts authentic Islamic architecture. 

Additionally, it is also a hub for cultural activities, nature and adventurous experiences. It includes a revolving restaurant which is a unique concept, attracting the majority of the tourists. There is an Observation Deck at 276 metres and a Sky Deck at 300 metres above ground from where you can admire the stunning skyline of Kuala Lumpur. For adrenaline junkies, you can try the thrilling Tower Walk during which you have to walk on a transparent glass platform. On special occasions, the entire tower gets lit up with 200 LED lights, making the structure more attractive to the eyes.

How To Reach

By Road: The KL Tower is located at a distance of around 6 km from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. You can reach the tower in approximately 10 minutes via the Jalan Raja Chulan route. You can easily get taxis from any corner of the city that will take you to KL Tower. 

By Train: For an even more fun experience, you can hop in the monorail. The two nearest stations to KL Tower are Bukit Nanas Station and Dang Wangi MRT Station. Both of these stations are located at an equal distance from KL Tower which can be covered with a 20-minute walk up the hill.

Best Time To Visit

The KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur is an all-year-round destination and can be visited throughout the year.

Best Season: Visit the KL Tower in the summer season, starting from February to September which offers dry weather and plenty of sunshine.

Best Day of the Week: If you wish to avoid crowds then you can visit the KL Tower on the weekdays instead of the weekends.

Great value for money. Glad I didn’t pay for the sky walk as it was actually quite low, height wise and the view wouldn’t have been great.
