Mallikarjuna Temple Overview

Mallikarjuna Group of Temples is popular for its unique architecture and design. It was constructed in Phamsana style (pyramid-like shape), these temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva and assumed to be built between Rashtrakutas and Kalyani Chalukyas.

If you look into the tower of the inner sanctum, it’s built-in typical Rastrakuta style. Apart from that, there are several small shrines built to the eastern and northern sides of the main temple.
