Karni Mata Temple Overview
Settled right in the heart of the city near the prominent Sagar Palace, Karni Mata Temple or Rat Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu sites in Alwar. The rats residing over here are worshipped by the visitors, owing to the numerous folk tales associated with them.

These sacred rats are known as “Kabbas”, and the food eaten by them is served to the devotees as “prasad”. Additionally, it has also gained widespread popularity for its imminent architecture which bears a hint of Mughal architectural style. The walls of the temple are adorned with beautiful marble carvings that quadruple the beauty of this place.
