Jummah Masjid Overview
The Jummah Masjid Mosque is an important landmark and an integral part of your Port Louis Sightseeing tour. Apart from the natural serenity of the place, one of the most unique features of this structure is the architecture of the mosque.

It was built in 1850 and reflects Islamic, Indian and Creole architectural style. Next to the mosque lies the sacred marble tomb of Jamal Shah – a ‘pir’ from Kutch. Every Friday, the holy ‘azaan’ or the Jummah Prayers are broadcast and the Taraweeh prayers are broadcasted during the month of Ramadan.

Location: Royal Road, A1, Queen St, Port Louis, Mauritius
