Calton Hill And The Scottish National Monument Overview
Situated in Central Edinburgh, Calton Hill and the Scottish National Monument have been marked as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Calton Hill offers a breathtaking view of the city and houses some of the best Scottish monuments and buildings like the National Monument, which was inspired by the Parthenon in Athens.

It was intended to commemorate the Scottish workers who died in the Napoleonic Wars, but it was never completed, and you can just see the twelve columns today.

Location: St. Andrews House 2 Regent Road, Edinburgh EH1 3DG Scotland
