Get on your trusty bicycles and embark on an amazing excursion through the Hills. The Melukote Nandi Cycling trail is lined with lush winding forest pathways that lead up to the landscapes that are free from any manmade intrusions and are perfect for those looking for a respite!

Your adventure of cycling to Melukote Nandi begins as you reach the decided meeting point of Sadashiv Nagar Swimming pool at around 06:30AM. Hereafter, a short drive of a couple of hours will bring you to the base of Nandi Hills from where you can start cycling the 30km long trail that leads up to the Melukote Cross. Not very taxing, it is best suited for beginners as it is not very taxing on the legs with a steady decline of almost 15km and more than 22km of tarmac roads. Bicycles can be brought by the participants themselves or can be rented at an additional cost.

Pedal your way across the rich and lush Devarabetta forest and winding paths of the hills before you make the first stopover after about 12km. Rest and relax before starting off again to explore the beautiful landscape on two wheels. After cycling for another 13km, it is time for the final stopover before you reach the destination at Melukote Cross. Take in the beautiful surroundings around you and let nature enchant you. Breathe in the fresh air before you head back to Nandi hills via a shuttle and munch on a succulent lunch spread which marks the end of your cycling adventure as you head back to the Sadashiv Nagar swimming pool.

Gear up and set out to participate in the 5th edition of Celebration Mysore 1/2 Marathon and 10K run. Strap on your running shoes and grab your friends and family members to head for the exciting marathon on September 6th 2015! The event is scheduled on a Sunday early morning so that the runners and their families get to soak the rich, pure culture and heritage of Mysore over a relaxing weekend and participate in the fun filled running events. The event can accommodate around 4000 runners to participate in this running event and runners can get the best deals and seats with an early registration in place! The track is set, the runners are ready and it is time for you to go to the sound of the gunshot in the air!
